Of all the stories I could possibly read of this gang, yours depicts them pretty much exactly as my heart wants them to be. Even exceeding it, what with the whole Mother-Father-Children dynamic. Got a little teary eyed.
Perhaps some of them may be seen as a little ooc, but even if they wouldn't say all of these touching things in so many words, I would like to think they would certainly be thinking and feeling them. I especially love that Merritt does here.
A sillier, and more gushy side of me, had a thought that he doesn't just view Dylan as a mentor, but also as a father figure like the others. Slightly hilarious and so unbearably heart warming because technically (based on actor's age ofc) Merritt is 6 years older. Also, because he is arguably the most emotionally detached of the Four Horsemen.
Needless to say, his thoughts of his new family and interactions with Dylan are probably my fav among the other four. Dylan and his interactions with his family takes the cake though. ;)

Can't wait for Now You See Me 2. Sad to see that Henley isn't apart of it as far as I can tell (confused but hopefully they explain?), but so glad that Dylan still is. I was so worried that he'd be kicked to the curb as a you-served-your-purpose-in-the-first-movie type deal. I'm kind of hoping he gets to shine even more and that they have a mentor-pupil as well as good friends thing going on. (Maybe even joke about the dad and children thing from time to time? I would probably have some unholy reaction to that omg I blame you for this)

thanks for this wonderful fic... I read last night and this morning when I wake up, my eyes were much look like forg's, not human's. The relationship between fourhorsemen and Dylan that fatherly all over? I really like that kind of relationship. Dylan is such a sweet gentle and warm guy, and this fic saw me the sweetest Dylan ever! I'm looking forward to read your another amazing story!
