Totally loved this. Perfect segment in this universe. My heart breaks for Sam, to be visually scarred, even a little bit, would be such a constant reminder to him. But, like Dean tells him, someday Sam will look in the Mirror and only see Sam, once again. And not be reminded of that terrible day. And until then Dean will continue to support him and help him heal. I loved how instantly dean was on guard and then there when it became obvious that something was up with Sam. Maybe the next time, those guys will learn some tact. Without even knownig what they said, I am pretty sure it wasn't a nice way of asking.

I can't even critique you because everything you write is just so dang powerful and layered with emotion...except the emotion comes out through gestures and subtext behind their words...totally keeping in how guys relate. Love it. Have writer envy. Or I would except I'm always so freakin happy any time I see you've posted.
