ayudevieta90 chapter 1 . 3/19/2019 This is only one short? Or there is another chapter? |
Shiro-chan1827 chapter 1 . 3/23/2018 Gosh, what a big emotional roller coaster. I kinda understand Ulquiorra's problem tho. not that I have the same syndrome or anything, I just cannot process people's affection toward me. I can process feelings, but mostly negative ones. so I don't think his diagnosis are deep enough. his 'heart' just wired a little differently. especially since Ulquiorra is such a curious person, he ask and ask and ask, then if he wasn't satisfied with the answer he got. he'll try to 'break down' the thing that got his curiosity. his behaviour wasn't out of cruelty, he just really really slow (and a bit numb) of how his acts affects people around him and how their response affect him back. but I think the way you wrote this story is really beautiful. the heartless boy and emotional girl. so sad that in the end, Ulquiorra left her. but maybe its for better, he need to find more of himself before going back to Orihime. maybe even tho he isn't 'complete', he knows that somewhere inside him, he cherishes her and doesn't want to hurt her. REALLY REALLY thank you for this wonderful story. |
sunspots and raindrops chapter 1 . 5/21/2016 I know I am a few years late, but I read this some time ago, randomly remembered it tonight, and found myself furiously searching FF for it... so happy I found it; it's every bit as good as I remember. Adding to favorites this time so I don't lose it again. Thanks for writing this interesting take on their relationship — I don't usually like AU fics, but this one... this one is amazing. |
hinoiri lwin chapter 1 . 10/30/2015 You made me ship ulquihime :) I just love this story so much. Thank you for your hard works, happy writing :D |
PrettyChelsea chapter 1 . 6/8/2015 Awwww he left. I hope he comes back and finds what he lost. Really loved your story. |
Shebali chapter 1 . 5/29/2015 I wish this was a monster of a story |
Bree chapter 1 . 4/15/2015 This was a beautiful piece. It mirrored Hueco Mundo so well and it was a well written story. Their meeting to their inevitable ending was bittersweet, and fated. The parts where Ichigo would pop up was like the sun rising over the horizon. His character gives the occasional lightness to an otherwise shaky atmosphere. I'd like to think that Ulquiorra would always hold a special place in Orihime's heart, and vice versa. The part where Ulqui gains a heart, or at least begins to understand is a real turning point. Their relationship always feels smothering, somber, yet it's intense in a unique way. It's not an average meeting of two people. This is a story of endurance. I like to think he disappeared, because he did really love her. You almost had me bawling...so good. lol |
Jagged Sunshine chapter 1 . 3/22/2015 Love this so much. Brilliant piece. Hated when it ended. I would like a sequel but at the same time I feel that would ruin it unless you pulled a miracle and made it equally as good (because we all know most sequels are bad XD). Please write more Ulquiorra x Orihime stories! I loved this story so much, it was very well written. |
Of Healing Love chapter 1 . 3/17/2015 Well, as someone who's read extensively about psychopathy, you did very well. There were a few mistakes, but they're pretty common. First of all, it takes a lot to be diagnosed as a psychopath. You didn't go in too deep, and that vagueness saved you from perpetuating any myths about psychopathy. The truth is, psychopathy is very hard to diagnose in the first place. The one mistake I was sure you were going to make but fixed in the end, more or less, is that someone can have one or all the markers of being a psychopath and STILL NOT BE ONE. But you handled that nicely and I applaud you. :) I'm not an expert on what it would take to diagnose psychopathy, but that's because the only real scientific research done has been on criminal psychopaths - which Ulquiorra isn't in this story (yet, if he were one. Harming someone is toeing the line pretty closely. If he's started hurting people, it would be very likely that it wouldn't stop.) which is why I agree with you that Ulquiorra just "lost something along the way." If he were a true psychopath, he wouldn't have been bothered by hurting his father - AT ALL. So yes, you did an excellent job. Really enjoyed this! :D Cheers! |
Dazed Blue chapter 1 . 2/23/2015 So I read this last night at like 1 am when I really should have been asleep and all I could register was-ODJADLKA'DPADADILOVETHISILOVETHISILOVETHISSS, "You're my boy/girl unless you want to be replaced?" dialogue killss meeee. JDPADKA;DADA SO CUTEEE I CAN'T HANDLE IT. I love this. omg. This is one of the besttt fanfics I read for Ulquiorra and Orihime. I want to cry. It's so beautiful. I greatly dislike the ending though. If it was a love story, I would be so deeply involved that my heartaches would increase to a disastrous level. lol. Considering that, I guess it's a good thing that it's not? Idk. I really don't appreciate the ending. I'm too much of a romantic to be happy with Ulquiorra just leaving like that. omg. can i cry with Orihime. Anyway. I'm soo happppyy that I found dis doe. I love the length. Long oneshots are on the spot for me. So tytyty. You da bomb. This gives me hope that there's still potentially great fanfics for UlquiorraxOrihime out thereeee. tyy c: |
Ashe Corinthos chapter 1 . 11/12/2014 Wow, this hit me right in the feels and brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely well-written and I couldn't stop reading it. This is amazing, one of the better Ulquihime fics out there. Thank you so much for writing it! |
LHisawesome4ever chapter 1 . 11/9/2014 Awesome |
myyinfatuation chapter 1 . 10/1/2014 I was crying so much when I read this, I want so much for Inoue but all she gets is this broken boy who's apparently not broken but just lost and she's so kind. I really hopes he finds his way :( I like you fit the mandatory 'not afraid' part of their in though :') |
bookworm1945 chapter 1 . 9/24/2014 My reactions to this story: "This is terrifying." "This is literally terrifying." "What am I reading?" "Oh gosh." "This is terrifying." That said, it's really well done. Splendid writing, even it did freak me out a little. |
fohiya5093 chapter 1 . 7/31/2014 This was perfect. The characters were subtly delineated, the details sketched with a light touch. Ulquiorra was heartbreakingly dissociated, Orihime was perfectly mirrored with her canonical Hueco Mundo stage of desperate sadness and denial, and Ichigo was succinctly summarised with the analogy "a warm breeze on a spring day". The story itself was beautifully structured, told through telling fragments and moments, and the emotions were skilfully interwoven. Orihime's hope for a happy ending, tempered by moments of doubt and acceptance of an inevitable tragedy (in one form or another) was reflected in my own emotions as I read the story (likewise, hoping for a happy ending but soon realising that it wasn't going to happen; the brief moments of apparent happiness soon negated by the next scene). Really, it was quite an emotionally exhaustive story and that's the mark of a brilliant writer. Lastly, the technical details: very good use of paragraphing, you've given the story space to breathe and used scene breaks very effectively. Stellar grammar and punctuation — I only caught one or two errors — nothing that detracted from the high quality of the work. Thanks for writing and sharing — you should feel very proud of this piece. |
