Hi ladies,

I grew up in southern California, my Girl Scout leader was in the closet until we were in jr. High, so for the first 6 years i knew her. After she had moved away, our troop invited her for a reunion camp out and she brought her girl friend. She was not the only lesbian from our troop. 7 of us as it turned out. 7 out of 25. When I was old enough, which was 21 in my council i became a leader, out and proud, and it wasn't an issue.

I "know" the gwenn's and shelly's all too well... Yes, they seduce you and later in life they deny and lie about. Sad.

Hi I think I’ve told you this before but I’m going to again. I’m a Beaver leader (6-8yrs) would be horrified to have to discriminate against anyone for any reason. I have a beaver with 2 mums, one who had no parents, and lived with his grandmothers, I’ve had kids with ADHD, autism, sensory loss and just plain old little horrors, everyone is welcome in my colony Scouts in general in Britain at least have no discrimination policies it used to be if you were an atheist you couldn’t join but now they changed the promise to include everyone.
I am also an Assistant district commissioner in my district and would be stomping all over anyone that had a problem with race, gender, sexual orientation, religion. Discrimination of any sort needs to be stamped out worldwide then maybe we could all live in peace. I love your stories and have read them many times and I’m sorry you were treated so badly in your youth by an organisation that is supposed to be accepting of everyone. My ignorant homophobic father said a while back something along the lines of "the boyscouts turn boys gay and then those gay boys join the army. To spread the gay."

I'm sorry GM had a bad experience with the Scouts. I truly think this fic can teach someone a lesson
