Masterfully written, keeping in character, funny banter and innuendo ( by all the characters!), romantic and engaging. This author has created what could be a Best Reading (otherwise known in reading circles as Best Seller) series of "Before..." episodes! Very exciting. Deserving of a standing ovation. Everything about it is wonderful - from the fun, snappy dialogue to the great humor (Kate sneaking the helicopter back to him to name just one; so cute!) to the heart-tugging romance. Everyone's voice was spot on and you got the tone just right throughout the story. This is the perfect set-up for the episode. Thank you for writing me new personal canon. :) |

You have an excellent grasp on the characters, how they talk to and respond to each other, and especially how Castle would act if he’s bored. These highlights are an excellent example: -The texts he sent Kate while she was at work -Martha getting frustrated and taking away his helicopter -Alexis reminding him about their TMI conversations -Eager to help Ryan, and the banter between him and Espo -Martha’s response when she accidentally rams Castle’s leg into the couch (laughed out loud at that one). It was so Martha, and I’m sure she did it and almost hitting his hand against the door jamb to get him to WANT to do it on his own. And may I say, I absolutely LOVED the little conversation between Castle and the French waiter. Oh, also that last line – perfect. Just perfect. |
