Hey! I'm glad you're still working on this fic. Even though it's been years since I've actively been into this fandom, your story is definitely still one of my favorites. I love the idea of this AU, and I highly encourage you to continue it! You're a fantastic writer, and hit the sweet spot of angst- not so much as it would be overdone, but just enough to where you're tugging at my heartstrings. In this chapter, for example, I think the key is in how you write Gilan's reactions. Sooooo good I love it.

Hi, I know it's been a while since you announced a rewrite and you haven't updated this in years. But I just wanted to let you know that I still really enjoy this story and I like the way you portray the characters and how you changed the story line to allow for the changes you've made to the plot and I really enjoy the changes. How Gilan is taking care of Will and Evanlyn. Halt desperate to get his apprentices back. I also really enjoyed that Crowley went along with Halt instead of Horace, I like that scenario more than that Horace comes along actually.
I have been following this story for five years (yes, I looked that up, I got curious...) and it is one of the few I always return to when I go back to the rangers apprentice fandom, because I find this is a very good read even unfinished. I just wanted to let you know I (still) enjoy the story and wanted to thank you for writing and sharing it. While I do still silently hope for an update, don't feel pressured to, please, don't feel pressured to. As I wrote earlier it is a nice read even unfinished. So I just wanted to share my love for this story and I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during these weird times.
