I'm intrigued as to how you'd write a sequel to this story... I guess it depends where you end it...
Anyway, this was a nice chapter with Esme's motherly-ness and all. How are the Volturi going to reinforce the vampire law in this world if it doesn't really exist here (since they don't technically)?

Well, that came out of no-where. What do they want? Looking forward to seeing what they are planning.

I love how Disney obsessed Nessie is, and the traslation of it into her own life ("You killed Simba"- hillarious! It's a good thing Edward didn't say "I killed Mufasa").
I don't understand how the authorities haven't figured out these girls live alone. The school has to report these things if they know about it, or one of their neighbors should have. I don't want them going into the foster system and being seperated or sent to their aunt and uncle, but this situation is a bit unrealistic.
The killings are really freaky if you don't know what's going on; it could look like a collaboration of serial killers.

I had a feeling Nessie would feel like that after watching Bambi. My mother always said she doesn't understand how I wasn't scarred by watching Bambi's mom get shot and the whole tragedy of it.
