Your words paint a picture so lush and full and absolutely vibrant. I love how the story is full of the type of subtle low key drama that isn't earth shattering, and yet is everything earth shattering all at the same time. The way you spun the drama from their actions and feelings, from just the simple honesty of reality. I'm not down on stories that use huge events like abuse or trauma to pull focus, but this here is the type of story that is so much more rewarding and I think is the true measure of a talented writer. You didn't need some big event or shocking twist to be your centrepiece. You just wrote so elegantly and truthfully about what appears outwardly as a seemingly tiny and low key moment, but charged so full of emotion and the mutual understanding lingering in the words left unsaid. You are an amazing writer.
