I have just finished reading all nine of your chapters...or rather all nine short stories. And, let me just say, you really have quite an impeccable talent for writing. It's quite outstanding. Easily one of the best writers around. You don't provide an overwhelming amount of details that bogs down the stories, but you don't just write short and boring sentences with no details at all. It's the perfect blend that I personally prefer to see in fan-fictions, and you seem to have that down great.

I was so excited to see a Blythe x Russell story, since I honestly thought I was one of the only ones who just suddenly came to a realization one day that they really would go great together. It was adorable, but there was just one thing wrong about it that is the main thing I would have to criticize or critique about all your short stories. I know you said these are all one-shots, but I think something major missing in all of them (except perhaps the last one) is actual romanticism.

See, in Discovery, it wasn't so much as Blythe/Russell as it was...Russell being jealous that Blythe liked Josh and Vinnie teasing him about it. That was honestly a bit disappointing. In Pose, it was just Russell grudgingly being nice to Minka. You kinda got it going a bit in Fireworks, and to a degree Peony. See, while all of these are incredibly cute and lovely and I am not saying any of them are bad in any way (other than a few curse words being thrown in for whatever reason), I think you needed to go a bit father with them. Half the fun in a romantic story, even if it's a short one-shot, is the chase and reward. For example, in the Blythe x Russell one-shot, Russell at least attempting a few things to show his feelings to Blythe would've made more sense, and then maybe it ends with Blythe actually giving Russell a chance and seeing how it could work. Basically, just go a bit further with them. That's pretty much the gist of it.

Most of what you write is just a scene of the characters being cute or playful, and that's it. Vinnie making Minka feel better over her picture is sweet, but it could use more. And so on and so forth. In Food Fight, you actually already HAVE four of the pets together as couples, so you kinda just fast-forwarded through all the juicy fun stuff and just made them do a fun little double date. It's honestly kinda funny how all of your stories are pretty much one or the other; either you just do minor build-up with a scene or two of adorable playfulness, or you just launch right into them already being together as a couple. You need the MEAT of it in there! How WOULD Vinnie and Sunil possibly get actually together? What would Sunil do to figure out his feelings? How far would Vinnie go to prove just how much he cares for Sunil? Who would they each talk to for advice and their opinions? Who would intervene (positively or negatively) and either screw up the situation, make it hilarious, or help out? Who would confess their feelings first, and how, and why?

I know it's kinda sounding like I'm saying to just write a whole story, but I'm not. I know you like keeping this moderately short and sweet, and just like to make them cute and lovely. And that's fine. But...I don't know. Just SOMEHOW maybe add more in there to make them a bit more meaty? Just all fluff is nice sometimes, but if you're talented (which I know you are), you're capable of more. Also, I'd kinda like to ask your permission if I could possibly take Discovery and add onto it with a story of my own about Blythe and Russell, since it's really become one of my favorite pairings in the show.

As for possible pairings that I'd like to suggest...hmm...maybe Blythe and Whittany, due to the events in Door-Jammed? Or...well, I don't know. Sunil, Russell, Zoe and Pepper are my favorites, but you've done most pairings with them, so it's hard to say.

I'm not much of an LPS shipper, what with differences in species and the fact that they're all best friends, but I do enjoy a cute fluffy LPS ship-fic every now and then. Okay, I think that's enough suggestions for now. You don't have to do all of them at all; especially if you're only focusing on the main characters. But I thought having some background characters/guest pets thrown in there would be kinda fun...? *shrugs innocently*
It's your story though, so go ahead and make the most of it! I'll be sure to read whatever you write.
