Aww~ I love how persistent Kirk was in order to get Bones to be his friends.

I love this.
I love cranky Bones who absolutely REFUSES to let himself believe that he and that corn-fed Iowan hick could ever hit it off. The wonderful insight that you gave to his character "...barely thirty and already old" - the way he views Starfleet and its members and how it sums up everything he hates to see in an individual (never mind an entire organization) - is unique and wonderful.

And of course, I love how you've made Jim into the dogged, stubborn, we're-gonna-be-friends-if-it-kills-me instigator of their initial ties. Their friendship starting off with McCoy treating one of Kirk's illnesses? That's a wonderful (and totally believable) way to begin it. Wonderful work!

"After all, it wasn't as if Kirk's eating habits were any of his business, and God bless the poor sod whose responsibility it eventually became."... haha,haha,hahaha.. If McCoy had only known he probably would've run screaming while he still could!

Good writing. I was a little confused as far as time passing but it was only real issue is that Bones was more of an asshole in this fic than any of the others I've read.

Aww, I loved this :) The friendship between Kirk and McCoy is one of my favourite things ever :)

I've never actually read any Star Trek ff even though I'm a fan, but I clicked on this because you wrote it and I must say I really enjoyed it. You really captured the 'eager puppy' quality of Kirk that I thought Chris Pine exhibited in spades especially in the first movie, and McCoy's voice was perfect. Thank you, and I truly hope to see more of your work, old or new.
