In other news, fabulous job. Your style of writing has matured remarkably in months past, and this was especially impressive, especially taking into consideration the gloomy atmosphere that you were able to create through imagery and characterization.

My favorite part of this was that I don't think I've ever seen something like this for the Linebeck fandom. There's a lot if Linebeck x Link out there- uh, ew, by the way- but you had such a way transforming Linebeck and Ciela's relationship in the game into something very mature and unfortunately very real.

My favorite part of the story was Link's implication that he would prefer to fight dragons instead of continue to live with his parents. It really put into perspective the REAL monsters in Link's life- his mother and father. They didn't realize what they were doing, and so their anger led them astray, destroying the morals that define Link himself as a character, and really tarnishing the aspect of what Link is supposed to represent. As opposed to Link's usual method of fighting to protect others out of love, the assumption I made here was that Link planned to fight monsters as a way of banishing evil, something that a nine-year-old boy should know nothing about, but has obviously witnessed time and time again. As I stated before, I really got the sense that Linebeck and Ciela both knew how at fault they were.

Finally, the ending. It caught me a little off-guard, as I wasn't expecting it, but I think it was important in sealing the message given off by this fic. I didn't dislike the ending at all, it just surprised me.

Again, GREAT WORK. One of the best fics you've written by far, and wow, what a unique idea. I'm very impressed.

In a weird way I really enjoyed this. Well, I'm biased in the way that my favourite fics are of a young child Link but...this brought in new dynamics. The relationship between Linbeck and Ciela's relationship was always patronizing. The family dynamic brought it to a whole new level. Please write more!

Feelings and ripped heart aside, I (surprisingly) loved this. It was well written and it progressed well. One thing I'm wondering, how did Link react? It might have been good to have added a paragraph or two on how he had reacted.

Still, very, very great. The conversation in the beginning was very in-character.
