I re-read this in the wake of TRoS because I'm desperate for good SW content, and this story is seriously so great. One of my absolute favorites. I'm not sure if you've thought about picking it up again or not, but I'd love to keep unpacking this universe. Thank you for these lovable characters and a plot that keeps me hooked. I'll always love this.

I love how obi wan is drugged to the gills and yet is still reprimanding Luke for his language loving this fic.

Great read! I absolutely love Ben's concern for his children. I love the fact that Ben fell in love with Sola. You left it at such a cliff hanger Ahhh!. I hope you will continue consider re-starting you have a great story, and my imagination is running wild. Thanks for your work!

Awesome story! ! So sad it's not finished. It is very well done and detailed!

Darn. Sucks that this story's discontinued. It's a wonderful AU and a breath of fresh air compared to the stories that simply follow the original trilogy as closely as possible. Of course, there were some mistakes, but you got a lot better as time went on, and I was really disappointed when I reached this last chapter. I hope you come back to it someday.

Ok I just need to take a moment to register that I just don't buy this Obi-wan/Sola thing you seem to be selling. Within just a couple of chapters she went from physically attacking him while threatening the lives of his children (and yes, threatening to turn him in to the Imps DOES constitute threatening Luke and Mara's lives), to proposing marriage? I don't care how big a time jump you've used, you can't just set up a character as so antagonistic that I instantly dislike her and then be like "no it's all ok now and they're in love" without showing any of the development in between. Now, I'm all about ships that begin antagonisticly. I am 100% in favor of that kind of ship, as a general rule (after all, I'm hardcore Luke/Mara). But they generally don't work without all the inbetween stuff that you skipped with that 13 year jump. All that development is really important. In fact, for me, it's kind of the whole point. Why on earth would you skip that? And have her propose marriage and then immediately turn and essentially go "oh and by the way your deeply held religious and philosophical beliefs and the vows you took are all stupid and you should give them up and give in to me and what I want " is not only selfish but would be deeply offensive. Even if he knows that rule is messed up, and even if he's already decided not to pass it down to Luke and Mara, at this point in the story it's still what he has chosen for himself, and why on earth did you write this ship this way? I would have broken up with someone immediately if they'd said something like what she did to me about my religion and the standards i hold myself to.

Like oh so many fics, this appears to be dead, or at least hibernating. Not as disappointed at that as, say, Heart of Darkness, but I'm at least a bit sad.
