Hirato does something detrimental to himself and Akari gets upset.

Akari does something to himself and Hirato scolds him and takes care of him. We should wait, huh.

Although I really do love your stories, and the idea of this prompt is nice because it brings out their faults. And I learned a few words at it.

I hope you find inspiration, because I'm not getting any!

It's completely understandable that Akari wants Azana alive... I know if someone tried to kill my cute surrogate little sister I'd have their head.

I do think that Akari should be upset at Azana, although no one's written about that yet... maybe I'll use it as a prompt...

You know, it's funny. I was just thinking about dropping Karnevalesque last night. Like you, I feel like I'm getting repetitive. Unlike you, my stuff really IS repetitive (and sometimes waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too crackish for words).

I say all that to say that I'm kind of sad that you don't think you'll be writing much more for this pairing, but I understand the feeling, even though I hope you change your mind. I, for one, will never grow tired of your work.

About this chapter: It was the perfect ending. True, sloth is a crippling laziness, and neither of our boys is particularly slothful (except perhaps in the maintenance of their own health), but I NEEDED a sweet, eat-my-damn-keyboard-and-phone cute fic. As always, you managed to deliver the goods and so much more: Akari being able to guess precisely how long Hirato's gone without sleep. Hirato actually agreeing to sleep. Little things like this say so very much about their relationship.

Thanks for this series, for updating it so regularly, and for your stories in general. They've brightened many a dark day, believe me.

Oh, please. Only in my dreams am I "better" than you. But I appreciate the support, even though I feel like I might disappoint any of your regular readers who wander over to Karnevalesque. I told mizamiko the same thing. Such flattery makes me feel like a man on stilts walking amongst giants.

Anyway, I think you do a fine job of writing "depressing things" - this and Belle Morte are evidence of that fact. In particular, I live very much that you integrated the dialogue from the manga into your story. Someone needed to do so, since the animators failed on that front. I always thought that Hirato looked downright evil in that panel, and as such, I realized that in my fangirl head!canon at least, his feelings for Akari run deeper than conveyed.

Again I think the writing is fluid and easily readable, even when you talk about such dark things. My favorite is the very last paragraph where Akari is dreaming fitful dreams. Gorgeous work.

I'm sad that today's chapter will be the last of this series. How come there aren't 700 deadly sins?

I feel like a conditioned lab animal. When I get your author alert, I'm immediately looking to drop whatever I'm doing and read the latest chapter.

I want you to write something EVERY SINGLE DAY so that I know I'll have something to look forward to every single day.

You may not like this story, but I do. Sometimes the author's opinion is irrelevant... or so I'm told. It's cute as hell. A drunk Hirato? I blame Tsukitachi (who likely set up a competition or something clever to facilitate said drunkenness). Anyway, reluctantly affectionate Akari is equally adorable - because you KNOW there would be no pity, no mercy if anyone else were hungover. Tsukitachi would only get a raised brow.

I love a jealous Akari. He's so snappish and adorable. Honestly if I look for guys in real life by my fictional standards, I'd either be dating a psychopath, a womanizer, or an asexual bastard.

Hirato's faithfulness is really sweet. I really have no idea about the past, so I won't even try to guess if he waited for Akari or played around, but this is really nice.

Hirato is dedicated but loves to mess around. I think you showed that really well.

Pardon my late review. I like to be methodical and leave one review per chapter, but you beat me to the punch.

Anyway, when I finished reading the Lust chapter, I was like, "Noooooooooooooo! I must have more!" I think that's a pretty high compliment - when you leave your reader craving more of your work. You must teach me mastery of this skill. Also, I'm really, really looking forward to the sex!fic now.

This chapter is my favorite of the series so far, and the series is my favorite of your Karneval offerings so far. In particular, I love that Akari's the one getting jealous. I think most of us who write this couple agree that Hirato is the possessive type. Many of us have written this aspect of their relationship, so it's refreshing to see the tables turned.

Sometimes, Hirato can be really sweet, can't he? I love how he softens his affect once he figures out that Akari is jealous.

I'm sure most of your readers will tell you this, but I've done this before. I've totally flipped over an innocent exchange between my partner and another woman. I think this verisimilitude really makes this drabble shine. It's rendered with such immediacy.

Also, just in terms of prose, I think this is the most fluid execution of your work yet - and it was damn good to begin with!

Oooooh. Tsukitachi, the sneaky bastard! Wonder why Hirato didn't try to go after Akari before? And was this their first "tea party"?

I love your sin theme. Every fandom needs one... but not all of them have one. I'm trying to imagine Akari in something other than that lab coat... :3

And btw it would be awesome if for a formal occasion or something... you could mention the elredge knot. It's very pretty, although Akari probably wouldn't bother...
