Reviews for Different City
Guest chapter 26 . 3/24
It's nice to know that Alfred has a private life outside of the Wayne Manor and the Batcave. To be extremely honest I was hoping that WW would have been introduced by now. I reread the top of the page and I guess that's not going to happen unless it's by "ships that pass in the night." Without WW as the other half of the central focus I'm rather reluctant to continue. Perhaps I'll return to this story at some other time. Thank-you for your indulgence.
Guest chapter 25 . 3/23
Wow! I'm at the halfway point! Actually the story has been quite engaging thus far. I've been wondering if WW is going to make an appearance in this AU story. There's still plenty of space for that to happen. I'm surprised that Dinah has been so damaged in such a short time, but then again I'm not a combat veteran. Intellectually I realize that such things are mind-shattering experiences. From what you've described Dinah is suffering from PTSD as well as the aftereffects of being manipulated by someone whom she dearly loved.
Guest chapter 23 . 3/23
Henry Kissinger may have been the furthest thing from handsome, but Nancy still married him. Nancy might not have been a beauty queen but she wasn't half bad looking and apparently has remained very loyal to him. Henry was/is a very brilliant man and sometimes brains and self-confidence will beat looks.
Guest chapter 19 . 3/23
I've been meaning to ask but I keep forgetting. What is the significance of the individual chapter names? I haven't seen anything like that for a long time. Also, one sometimes sees that in very old stories except that usually it's tied somehow to the content of the chapter. I think that it's imaginative but I'm not catching on to the reference. Sorry.
Guest chapter 17 . 3/23
You keep using "passed" when you should use "PAST." I've noticed numerous grammar and spelling errors along with a few punctuation errors. DON'T misunderstand-it's a good story but it does need competent editing. Even professional writers need professional editors.
Guest chapter 13 . 3/23
You just love to break the fourth wall. Who do you think you are? Ambush Bug (Does anyone remember him?)? Deadpool? Anyway, I need to post this and restart this chapter.
Guest chapter 12 . 3/23
Personally I'm glad that Lois has yet to show up. Strictly speaking I'm NOT a "Lois hater." Instead I've come to the opinion that Lois is a very shallow, one-note character that quickly "wore out her welcome" before the end of Action Comics #1. For decades DC has touted LL as SM's "girlfriend" When actually she's been a giant-sized anchor around his neck. WW, most especially the demigoddess version, is truly SM's equal. LL is fragile tissue paper in comparison. I suppose Vicki was invented to be Batman's LL, but my guess is that idea never really stuck. I do have a question: When did DC decide that Selina & Bruce were "romanticallly involved?" I remember that when the Huntress was 1st invented she was the daughter of Earth-TWO'S BM & CW. When was she retconned to be the Earth-1 daughter of a mob boss?
Guest chapter 7 . 3/23
"Condensation" is water vapor collecting into droplets, for example on a cold glass. You meant to say "condescension." Yes, it's harder to spell (it took me a couple of attempts) but the meaning is RADICALLY different!
Guest chapter 2 . 3/23
You do seem to have a penchant for writing long stories. DON'T get me wrong-there's nothing wrong with long stories provided that they are well-crafted. Personally I would more inclined to write shorter stories but keep them strongly connected. My hypothesis is that shorter stories could have a different theme while still contributing to an overall arc. Oh, you still have some spelling errors.
ArtimuosJackson chapter 9 . 10/26/2019
Strange that Superman's powers developed slowly but whenever another Kryptonian comes to earth they're already powerful to challenge Superman.
ArtimuosJackson chapter 6 . 10/26/2019
Why would Clark deliberately wants to follow Dinah when she was going after some terrorists, wouldn't it be better that he hide and changes into Superman, but I guess making Clark an idiot is always present in your every Superman fiction. Your representation of Clark Kent is a bumbling idiot never a great man or person.
Guest chapter 50 . 10/22/2019
I like the epilogue. Sure it can be a little jarring if you’re really really into Selina/Clark, but it’s a beautiful callback to another story of yours. “I’ll always be here”, right? In the end it’s always going to be Diana and Clark being there for each other whether it be as friends consoling each other after their everyone moves on or as lovers. Clark and Diana aren’t human and their lifespan can be centuries. Sure their beginnings and stories may change, but the one constant in every tale is them. Unless you’re expecting them to live alone after everyone they know moves on I can’t see how they’re not inevitable.
Guest chapter 50 . 8/4/2019
That epilogue is a big downer, unfortunately it feels like something of an f-finger to everyone that read this for the Clark/Selina romance.
Instead we have someone else entirely shoehorned into an abrupt and unsatisfying epilogue that's sabotaging everything which came before.
I would really implore you to rewrite this to something that fits with the story as a whole. I don't remember you doing this kind of bait and switch in your other romance stories I've read.

Overall the last few chapters feels somewhat rushed and disjointed, with way too many small scene fragments.
Guest chapter 50 . 2/25/2019
you're very talented, excellent work on the ending A
