I read this story when you first started writing, haven't been on here in years myself, it really is amazing to come back and see what stories have come out since then, and even more amazing to see an update from an old story I loved! Absolutely amazing story. It's been a few years since I've last read a hunger games fanfic (mostly due to not being able to find new good ones) but I'm really glad I found your story today. Seeing Katniss be Katniss and Peeta being too hot for real life Peeta in this type of new setting was just the distraction I needed from my own emotional and mental issues. I know it's been over a year since an update but I'd be devastated if I missed a surprise update to this story. I hope you and your loved ones are safe during this troubling time.

Great update. I hope Katniss doesn’t run away

I hope Peeta gets what he wants out of this. It’s ok for him to not to simply go along with what she wants all the time.

I really like the story but am kind of annoyed with katniss. She isn’t obligated or reciprocate anyone’s feelings, at all. Even Peeta. But I can’t believe Katniss doesn’t recognize Peeta at all. Seriously. They’re from from a small town and she doesn’t remember him from Elementary middle or high school. Unless I’ve misread something.

And she straight up lied to gale telling him she didn’t like or love Peeta and he says he knows? If he knows she doesn’t like Peeta why is he asking her to give him a chance.

“The scary thing is some part of me believes Gale would do it, that he would run away with me to a deserted forest and live off the land for the rest of our lives, romantically or not. So I always have to watch myself around him, keep my emotions in check when they get tremulous near him.”

Mmhmm. That’s the kind of simmering undercurrent that makes both gadge and everlark impossible. Katniss is petty enough to act on something like that when she gets mad.

How could Katniss forget meeting Peeta. Seems like Madge should be concerned, what with gale saving his biggest smile for and kissing Katniss slam on the lips and not for his girlfriend

My heart catches in my throat as he gives me his widest smile yet. And then he slows our spinning and plants a huge, sloppy kiss right on my lips.

Good start. Is the band called misery’s fortune or Misery's Business. Chapter mentioned both.

I don’t know if I can properly express the very strange but rather intense feeling of envy I have in this story. I love rock music. I’m sure I’d like Misery’s Fortune’s sound. I love punk-rock clothing. I’ve read band fics before, but for some reason, maybe with the fact that I’ve gone to my first concerts in the past year, thes fact that they were all rock (P!ATD, FOB, and ONE OK ROCK) and that one of them was just a week ago, I just wanted the music to be real and to be a part of this so bad? And it’s not even like going across the country for 3 months would be particularly appealing either - I need to work, too, and I can’t stand long car drives. Being in a bus for 3 months in close quarters with 7 other people is akin to torture and may result in me murdering someone by the end.

I just... I don’t know why but I really just want to be apart of their music and that desire is so strangely intense. It was sparked a bit again by the fact that apparently their next destination is Tucson, and I’m from Tucson.

My strange feelings aside, this is a damn good fic. Way better than I was expecting (band fics don’t tend to be stellar, just fun), and the care you put into crafting the relationships between each of the characters, particularly Everlark, is a testament to your skills as a writer. It makes this whole story.

Whenever you continue this, if you choose to, know you’ll have readers like me ready to pick it up again.
