I realize this story is complete and all but I just feel the need to point out that if you're following the normal timeline then The Warden has only been a Grey Warden for around four years. The Fifth Blight started in 9:30 Dragon and the Qunari went nuts in Kirkwall in 9:34 Dragon. Hell even if this was in Inquisition the Hero of Ferelden still wouldn't have been a Warden for more twelve years.

My one complaint is that they lost fingers to frostbite far too quickly.

Are you just updating the chapter? Because if not I swear this was some serious dejavu.

I'm so grateful you didn't just end the story with, "it was a fairytale" that would've broken my heart. Excellent work in getting us to love Hawke and Cousland all over again.

I still remember reading the first chapter of this years ago. I'm very impressed and glad that you decided to come back and put the finishing touches on it. A bit rushed? Maybe, but fanfiction very rarely gets the "complete"-tag and the ending still left me feeling content so I really can't complain. Thanks for the story and good luck in whatever it is you choose to do next in life!

This story has been excellent from the start, and I was super excited to see it finished! Both Aedan and Marian were given very strong characterizations, which made their interaction engaging to read (and usually hilarious). Thank you for writing and posting this fic! You had me you know. I believed Varric's lie that he made it all up. I was disappointed that the story boiled down to such a thing, but then the end! If a story ends with the reader smiling, then it is a good ending.
