This was a really good look at what death would be like through Johnny's thoughts. In character and well written. I hope you write more fics.

I really enjoyed this piece, particularly reading it from Johnny's POV. And the banter between Roy and Johnny was perfect. Nice job.

Very interesting to see the experience from Johnny's POV and not find out what happened until Johnny finds out. Near-death and out-of-body experiences in fanfics are unique every time. This is certainly an unusual one, built of mostly sensing and hearing and thinking and not seeing, save for the bright lights. I like it!

I love the conversation between Johnny and Roy. You capture them so beautifully and I can easily hear their voices in every word. They have such a wonderful friendship.

You are right! "Limbo" is a perfect name and description. I thoroughly enjoyed this short! The emotions were great; the glimpses of sound and recognition perfect. I love that you told the story somewhat in reverse, not revealing how Johnny was brought to death or that he was in fact dead at all until you had us totally engrossed in the story. Wonderful job! A new fav. :)

Frightening in retrospect, once I realized what it was that he was experiencing, but very serene and in a manner of speaking, very hopeful. You're a very, very good and gifted writer with the rare ability to truly make a reader experience the scene through all his senses, to experience what Johnny felt, rather than just read about it. I truly look forward to reading more from you.

Wow. The descriptions are amazingly vivid, such intense sensory details that I really felt as if I was surfing along that sense of peaceful disconnect from the body, existing only in my head in a state of calm and no worry. Great, great, great sensory details; so much good stuff about this story it's hard to sum up.

I admit that I am having a little bit of a hard time trying to imagine Roy telling Johnny his eyes were gorgeous, without bursting out laughing.
