A wonderfully evocative story that reaches into the emotions and makes the reader feel the futility and the weariness of it. And the necessity of it. Lovely piece! I really enjoyed this!

That's a very thoughtful and considered view of a man weighed down by life's intractable burdens.
I liked that it has some element of redemption as it's close.
