Sorry to say this, but Sookie was stupid in this chapter revealing herself. I thought she was smarter than her book or show version.

If I was Sookie, I would also be disgusted to see Eric feed and fuxk fangbangers.

Nice story. Admittedly it was odd having to go to someplace else to read a chapter but it turned out OK. I was concerned that the story was not gonna finish when I was like two chapters from the end and no action had happened. Did you wrapped it up well. Also if you had mentioned it I would’ve never known that they were two people who wrote the story. Congratulations job well done

I really enjoyed this collaboratively written piece. It’s a shame the two ladies didn’t put their heads together for a few more! I would love to read their version of the journeys CH & HBO tortured the characters through since this piece is more of an introduction to the couple. I’m certain I would enjoy the CollidingMuse version much more! Clearly, I’ll just have to settle for checking out their separate creative efforts.

I think the reason I like this version of Sookie so much is that she’s almost the opposite of canon Sookie where Eric is concerned. Such an improvement over CH’s or HBO’s versions!

I struggle with the attraction to Godrics in the various stories, just because he was turned so young. While he’s meant to me 2000 years old or so, I guess I’m just too old or unimaginative to find a mid-teen boy’s physique sexy anymore. Is it just me?

Where did Godric come from while it was still daylight? Did he somehow sneak into the house after Eric died for the day? If so, it would be oddly patient & overly tolerant of him to leave an unknown human, that he was so curious about, alone with his Child who was dead for the day.

Yikes! Shrieking would be the least I’d do in Sookie’s place!

Hah! It’s a very rare version of an Eric that gives serious consideration to protecting ‘his Sookie’ from even himself. I like this version very much!

Ack — Hugo! When he comes up I always find myself wondering what would attract a female vampire to a male human (other than blood). The male vampire/female human fantasy fits with a female’s ancient biological drives to choose the best mate (theoretically, the strongest, etc.) coupled with the long-standing social/cultural template of dominant male/submissive female. But the female vampire would always be the stronger & presumably the dominant partner. It’s just hard for me to imagine very many female vampires wanting to do more than feed off of a male creature that she could snap like a dry twig. What would be the appeal of letting such a weak creature paw you & crawl all over you? I get it if they’re into the dominatrix thing, but otherwise, it’s hard to fathom a lot of enthusiasm. But hey — what would I know about a female vampire’s drives & motivations, eh?

RE: ‘disregarding CH’s ... fiasco’ — I’d prefer to rake it further. I’d like to see her arrested for character abuse and see her lose custody of them!

I was pleased to see Thalia’s appearance. She doesn’t show-up nearly often enough in the FF stories for my taste. I was yucked-out to see Bill’s name come up. I’m definitely not complaining, but surprised he hasn’t been making trouble regarding Sookie in the story, so far anyway.

They both seem to be taking this rapidly accelerating mutual attraction & affection very calmly. Even Pam is unusually relaxed observing it. Definitely not standard behavior for any of them!

It occurred to me while moving from last chapter to this one just how pleasant it’s been to read an E&S story without the annoyance of all Sookie’s pesky, interfering Bon Temps relationships & job. Thanks for the refreshing break from all that!

Whoa! Did I read that right? Sookie thought through possible reasons that Eric told her not to do something & then, both admitted to herself that Eric was right AND kept herself from doing the opposite of what she was told? Trippy...

I know the situation is meant to be a scary interaction but the visual of Eric sniffing out Sookie’s whole body faster than the human eye can see cracked me up! Technically, I guess it should be just as creepy as Preston’s behavior in the last chapter, but at least Eric isn’t a total stranger (and he was so fast she couldn’t register what would surely have horrified her at this point).

It’s good to see Sookie waking up to reality a bit, but she was sure having a traditional Sookie temper tantrum, even if it was only going on inside her head instead of the usual shrieking at Eric at the top of her lungs.

Well Preston was sure being creepy...

Uh oh! Extra Fairy Scented Sookie in a vampire bar should make for an eventful opening to the next chapter!
