StillWittyKatie chapter 7 . 6/5/2016 This! This story I would read more of! (But it stands as a complete work on its own.) Ooooh! What would Kaidan do working with Cerberus? |
TakeruDream chapter 1 . 9/10/2013 This story was wonderfully written, it almost had me in tears more than once. That ending really threw me, I was certain it was going to end beautifully until I read the word 'Horizon.' At first I thought there could be more added to the story but I think it was a very fitting ending now. I like imaging Kaidan enlisting with Cerberus and doing everything in his power to being Shepard back to him and helping her pick up the pieces all over again. You have a real talent for writing, you had my emotions all over the place! |
agrees with anon chapter 7 . 7/16/2013 More! |
Mrsalenko chapter 7 . 6/26/2013 Please and more chapters. Please! Maybe not kill them of im this one. I know you like angst and are talented at writing it but, maybe a happyish ending? Sort of. :) |
Cortina2 chapter 7 . 6/19/2013 Casimir and Ami are hilarious. You write them so well, if you ever decided to do an entire story just about them bantering with the kids, I would totally read it. In light of the unfortunate twist of fate bestowed upon Mr. Alenko, I feel like giving him some pep talk at this point: Clever move on Anderson and Shepard there, Kaidan. Some people might consider it a shame that Miss Dandy seemingly begrudges you a happy ending and takes pleasure in putting you through painful times again and again, but hey, who can blame her for it? You must admit, she's really good at writing angsty stuff and takes you on great new adventures that no doubt help keeping your relationship fresh and exciting - and may or may not prevent you from shaving at that. Also, she granted you the memory of a whole year of happy family life you can cling to. :D Thanks to that huge cliffhanger my imagination is running wild though. Will Kaidan join Cerberus to try and rescue the queen of his heart? Will he eventually give up and give in to Miranda's courting instead? Or will his meanwhile grown up son Miles (whom I picture to look like David Giuntoli as a young adult) be the one to succeed in putting the puzzle pieces together years later? Hello nervous breakdown! |
Cortina2 chapter 6 . 6/19/2013 Let me say you're doing a great job in delivering vivid character analyses of the protagonists of this story. Admitting when she's weak and at a loss is not Shepard's thing really, so in an attempt to mask her insecurity and hopefully shake it off altogether she turns stubborn, unapproachable and dismissive. Anderson (who is written in an adorable fashion) has learned to quickly see through this behavior over the years and knows quite well how to appeal to her by now, standing firm and not allowing her to push him away (strikes me that Anderson and Chakwas would make a nice couple, btw.) And Kaidan, on the other hand, is only just beginning to figure out how to make sense of her sometimes odd-seeming introverted mood swings and eventually manage to gently bring her to terms. I'm sure it'll take him a lot of patience and endurance to get anywhere near safely handling a whirlwind like her. :P |
Cortina2 chapter 5 . 6/18/2013 What a bunch of ignorant jerks there! And their Commander is the worst, a real shithead. Still no room for tough women in the future, eh? Holy crap, she's clearly showing strong symptoms of PTSD or manic depression which is nothing to take lightly. She's obviously lost all of her self-assessing and self-protectional instincts and can't help but put Kaidan through all this emotional pain. I just hope she comes to appreciate his loyalty and endurance, not only for her own but also for the baby's sake. You've got me on the edge of my seat here. |
Cortina2 chapter 4 . 6/18/2013 I know, I should have braced myself but still: Oh noes, not Joker, man! It's breaking my heart. Hannah Shepherd seems just as much a tough and kind woman as Commander Shepard is, that's a relief. I'm worried about Shepard's state of mind, though, she's pushing people away from her and bathing in guilt, definitely not a good sign. |
Cortina2 chapter 3 . 6/18/2013 Aw, Kaidan being such close friends with both Joker and James is a wonderful headcanon. I can see that, they would get along really well. Besides, Kaidan definitely could use some very close friends around him as I imagine it's not easy to learn you're going to be a dad from a comm call in the middle of the night. Boy, Shepard can be so cruel at times! :P |
Cortina2 chapter 2 . 6/18/2013 Long distance relationships are rough and I can't see Shepard in particular handle it well. Different postings are a killer for any blossoming love. I'm sure they both would suffer beyond words and even get more attracted to each other, no matter how hard they tried to fight it. But wait, what? She's wearing frilly yellow underwear? Okay, she probably wasn't foreseeing her visit to end up the way it did, but why would she buy yellow undies in the first place? She must have a pretty bad fashion sense, yellow doesn't exactly go well with her usually pale skin, does it? |
Cortina2 chapter 1 . 6/18/2013 Uh-oh, A smut. Nonetheless I'm starting to get really annoyed with these stupid design engineers who didn't account for a simple red light to be installed on the outside of the locker/shower room to unmistakenly indicate it's occupied to everyone else. These construction guys are ruining the mood. :P But seriously, I find this new take on the story very interesting. They could have easily ended up in a situation like that and it's definitely worth a separate plot. Also, well, let's look at the bright side of this then: at least they weren't exactly caught 'in the act' but more sort of 'at the end of the act'. :D |
REB-ART chapter 7 . 6/18/2013 Excellent story and idea! I can't wait to read more! So exciting and I really hope you continue this story. |
JoleeKee chapter 7 . 6/16/2013 I FUCKING LOVE this. Wonderfully heart wrenching and beautiful. |
CyanB chapter 7 . 6/13/2013 Damn woman! This was excellent, possibly some of your best work ever! I loved the reference to the red ribbon. I desperately hope that you will pick this back up at a later date. I really need to know what happens next! |
Endrius chapter 7 . 6/13/2013 Non exacly my kind of story, but I've faved it anyway. I like the way you write. Will it be a continuation of it one day? After finishing Changelling? |
