First off, really affecting and sad story, and really well done. I can well imagine the impact participating in this would have - I was in a disaster drill in college, and slated to be one of the nonsurvivors (it was for nurse and EMT training). It was weird as hell to have to be dead (and made up to be the accident victim).
I'm glad you ended it as you did, with a glimmer of hope: Blaine's crap parents do not come through for him, but Finn does, and we know Burt will.
As for you, I'm sorry you've had so much happen at once that was negative. I think writing is a great way to deal with those feelings, though. You are in my thoughts and prayers, for strength, and a return of optimism.
