while i like happy endings, if thorin had died in the joining in spite of all narrative tradition i would have ROFL'ed

the whole noble sacrifice thing is pretty par for the course on middle earth, it makes sense that thorin, who comes from a world of black/white morality would jump at the chance to be a warden

sigrun shoud really know better then to screw around in the deep roads...

i find myself wondering how thorin would fare in orzamar, if ganalf made a targetng error and dropped him there instead of right in front of the wardens

the caste thing would definetly create some nice drama

while thorin might not have died im sure that he thinks that gandalf has sent him to heaven (or LOTR dwarf equivalent)

Perfect as always. Sigrun is a favorite and honestly other ships have not quite seemed to work, but this one! Maker, it's perfect. And Thorin deserves it too. I've been reading Tolkien for...well... a really long time (whispers 50 years) so no other crossover could be so near to my heart. Its always wonderful to see Thedas through fresh eyes. Even more fun when I'm familiar with Middle Earth and the comparison. And Megan, Nate and Carver are there too. Fix satisfied for today.

I'm glad you paired him with another dwarf. So few do! Interesting setup. Too bad Orcrist didn't come with him! heh.

*lol* I thought of something. I wonder how the people of Thedas would react if they ever found out just how OLD Thorin is despite his YOUTHFUL appearance. Like Thedas elves, I don't think Thedas dwarves live LONG, seemingly never aging lives like Middle Earth dwarves do. Thorin's what? Pushing 170 right now when he was sent to Thedas by Gandalf yet he still looks as young as a man in his twenties or thirties?

Aw... Too bad there couldn't have been a version of Erebor here on Thedas that dwarves have heard legends about. *lol* Especially after hearing Thorin's claims of being king of it. With all the forgotten and Darkspawn infested Thaigs, who knows what Thaigs were forgotten, like that Ancient abandoned nameless one Hawke's gang found the Red Lyrium in, that seemed to not have stone monuments that worshiped Paragons or anything else that modern day dwarves do.
