Well done! I just recently caught up with the manga, and so haven't read much snk fic yet...but this is amazing! You're characterization of Eren as a kid is satisfyingly true to the little that was provided in canon and also very sweet. I loved how concerned he was for Mikasa. This was really a great insight into how the close relationship that they have now probably began. I especially enjoyed the dialogue between Carla and Eren, the mother son dynamic was very realistic, endearing, and believable.

Even more, the way you described Mikasa's emptiness following her parents' deaths was haunting and devastating to hear from young Eren's point of view; I look forward to see where you take these flashbacks. Maybe through Mikasa's gradual recovery or just significant events in Eren's past? I also think it would be pretty neat to see the meeting between Mikasa and Armin, but that's just me. I'm a bit of an Armin fangirl myself, haha.

I agree that it would be good to have some idea of what's happening in reality soon, and what Eren's condition presently is. I'm sure whatever you choose to do, it will awesome.
