There is a ton of missing punctuation in here. Pretty much all the dialogue and end of paragraphs lack any form of punctuation, which made it annoying to read.

I love your story. What a wonderfully refreshing new look at post-Endgame. Instead of Kathryn being blinded by the demands of her job, she soon realizes what she wants in life and must act a totally different role to get them home.
The maturity both characters show here (well, OK, Chakotay is pouting, but it is still endearing) is how they should have been on the show. Love seeing Chakotay take control and propel Kathryn out of the docking bay. Hope you write more, maybe something involving those "outstanding skills"...

I can totally see Kathryn taking a drastic measure like that to avoid becoming the Endgame-esque Admiral. And Chakotay getting all angry and taking charge like that was just too delicious. Their conversation about great passions in life was rather sweet.
