Absolutely adored all you Merricup stories.

Wow. That was well written even I felt a bit sad about Hiccup and Astrid, even if I ship Mericcup.

And so, this story too comes to an end. And, it was also really good. A really sweet epilogue, to close the previous too stories. I loved seeing them prepare for their big wedding, and all the little moments, like Hiccup having to get his sword & saying goodbye to his friends and Merida inviting the witch, were fantastic additions to the tale. And of course, our two leads were just as good as ever. Great trilogy man.

Hello there! So I have a bit of a weird review. Years and years ago, I read "A Distant Star, a Burning Sun," "Stormerki, Undur," and "A Year and a Day." This was probably back in 2013 or 2014. Right around that same time there was a big scare that fanfiction as we knew it would become inaccessible, so save your favorites and hide them somewhere safe. I loved these stories so much that I did just that. Since then I've wandered away from this site, but my love for these stories hasn't dimmed one bit.

Every year when my family goes camping, I drag my laptop along and reread the entire series late at night, when everyone else has gone to sleep. It's become something of a tradition of mine, one that brings me a sense of happiness and peace that I can't find in my everyday life. I love these stories, what you've done with these characters, and the world you melded together for them to share. I love that at the heart of these stories is an optimism, a hope for a brighter future. The way you wrote Merida and Hiccup's growing relationship, their compassion for each other, and their understanding without words will always blow me away. I love that, even without being able to communicate in full sentences, they were able to realize what the other needed. I LOVE the way you wrote Stoick, Fergus, and Elinor. So often parents are neglected in stories, and they are each such an integral part of Hiccup and Merida's lives. You did well by them.

So thank you, for year after year of joy and comfort. I can't tell you how much these stories have meant to me this whole time. Thank you for sharing them with the world.

PS: My favorite excerpt in this series has got to be, “She’s like the sun. Everything is brighter, and warmer, and more alive when I’m with her. How could you want to live in a cave after seeing the sun and how amazing the world is in its light?” ...
But Astrid said quietly, “And I’m the moon,” and his heart broke for her.

I may have said this before I don't know how many times I've read these stories, but, the interaction between Stoick and Hiccup that you've written are my favorite parts of these already great stories.
