Love this mind-meld outcome and you've got a spot of humor too, which is lovely. The only other thing that would be cool to add is another chapter with the effects of the meld on Spock Prime and possibly his reactions to (and suspicions of) Kirk's career. After all, a mind-meld works both ways ;)

But now? Honestly, I would love to see what would happen if SpockPrime found out what Jim had done. If he came to the hospital while Jim was recovering and figures out from their talk that Jim had gotten more memories that he'd meant to give. I bet SpockPrime would feel horrible if he thought for one second that he'd influenced Jim like that.

...and I bet youngSpock would be beyond livid to find out too.

Wow. Love it. I love it! Could you a sequel when old Spock finds out about why Kirk did it, possibly through a very angry new Spock?

I just came back from watching Star Trek: Into Darkness (which was EPIC BTW) and now, reading this, my mind is going "this makes SO MUCH SENSE!". Oh, and watching that death scene made me cry.
