I'm loving where this story is going, and I love that you're not afraid to kill off champs. I'm hoping that my favorite babies don't die (ie. Piltover's Finest), but even if they do, this is beyond intriguing.

I love the teams that you've created and the way you allow the champions' personalities to come through in their interactions. Great job!

The idea of the competition is interesting. Plus who could say no to the couple Katarina and Lux?
I wonder how they'll get together and how Riven will react to it.

Anyway, I like the story so please continue.

They are not lame attempts, the action is pretty good (I could visualize in my head how the fights went). Though, where Fiora mentions "aim just a little higher" you didn't say where she hit (higher from what: stomach, shoulder?).
Also the teamup in the first half was really unexpected (and good). Hope it lasts.
As for characters that I would want you to include if possible: Morgana/Kayle or Diana/Leona (teamups I mean). I like the concept of enemies needing to work together (more interesting).
Minor nitpick: the last word should be "fainted" not "faint".
