Ahhh... if only Saki blew them all out in that match in canon huh. I wish she wins with bigger hands more too, but I guess they're saving that for finals? Hopefully.

Obviously, the english isn't perfect but I , really like where this is going, especially preserving Saki and Teru's bond. I admit my AU is Saki never being separated from her beloved sis, remaining very close, probably with Saki also in Shiraitodai. Can you imagine the team with both Miyanaga's in it? Hoo boy XD It's far from even being unfair since Rinkai is basically a cheat team; but I still think the sisters can take them on. Teru already proved that and Saki, well, Saki just has a LOT of handicap right now - problems with her family, her sister, her confidence etc.
But I also love the Kiyosumi team. Hisa's probably my 2nd most favorite after Saki/Teru and Saki x Nodoka paring is just too adorable lol. If Saki isn't with them, I don't think they can even reach finals, sadly.

That must have been a shock for Nodoka though. Although shouldn't she be more accepting of 'luck' since she's been with Yuuki for awhile... wait no, on second thought, she can as well attribute Yuuki's affinity during the East round to her short attention span lol

It really is one hell of a wait huh, pun intended. What are the odds of Hisa maintaining the club even if she was the only member during first year, then on to her 2nd year when Mako joined then finally the odds of 3 first years joining on her very last year - just enough to complete a team. Not to mention even if they did have 5 members, without Saki they would not have reached Nationals. One HELL of a wait. ;)

Chap 14:
Hmm, Saki and Nodoka aren't that close compared to canon huh. Also, good for Kiyosumi to make Saki's -0 play style as practice.

For Chap 16:
Lol at Hisa's 2nd harem member (1st is Mako, 3rd is Yumi). I actually love her character and if I had to give a harem (which I normally hate, by the way) to somebody in the Saki universe, I'd give it to Hisa haha.

PS. I still cry whenever I see that update date... 2013.. Whatever happened? We don't even have much in the way of fanfics for Saki and all these incomplete ones are killing me with sadness TToTT

Ooooh, so Saki eliminated Jindai as a possible opponent for Teru huh; that would make it much harder for the others against Teru, not that it would make much difference really. We all know it would be a one-woman domination lol
I actually didn't understand why Saki would choose to help Himematsu take 2nd place in canon

Chap 12:
Teru's winning streak, snowball is the perfect analogy XD She's ridiculous (meaning OP) but I think Saki has the edge on her Sis because of sheer unpredictability. At least you can tell what hand Teru is building next.. though that's scary in itself lol

Chap 13:
So Awai uses double riichi followed by Kan? (I do NOT know anything about mahjong, admittedly ;) but I get the feeling Saki feels a bit nervous whenever other people use Kan, adding to that, she just got ignored by Teru (again!) in canon. I'm nervous how that that match will go - as of this writing, the vanguard match just ended so it's still a loooooong way to go but I'm still confident Saki will win it even against Shizu and Awai at the same table.

Achiga... and Shizuno huh. I'm actually dreading reading the manga because Saki already took a hit on her confidence during the latest finals match, and Koromo actually warned her that Shizu was like a mountain and that she's not sure if Saki can bloom at the peak. HOWEVER, I'm optimistic that our wonder airhead-girl indeed will do so because isn't that exactly what Teru told her? That there are flowers that bloom even at the very peak of the tallest mountain?

I actually find it curious that in the qualifiers/finals, Saki was so focused on Rinshan - while that's very effective, I think she's not bringing out her full potential (remember that Kokushi Mushou tenpai on 3rd round in the very first episodes of canon?). Her luck is monstrous too and if she can get hands like that even without Rinshan, she should.

Hisa is always such a riot to read! She's fun AND fun-ny! XD

Awwww! I'm SO invested with Teru and Saki's relationship. I want them to make up already though we have major clues that Teru's indifference towards her little sister is not what it seems. Though, personally, Ritz-sensei better damn have the best reason for making Teru deny the existence of her own sister. It would decide whether onee-chan is redeemable or not (I love Teru and Saki both, so I hope it's the former); it's just that I can't think of anything that would make someone someone who adores Saki to death deny and not even acknowledge her existence.

NOooooo! We didn't even get to see Saki kick ass again. Hopefully you continue this even after erm... 7 years(?). It's a really entertaining fic and the Saki universe needs more fic love imo

The metaphor is on point though Teru is more like an avalanche that is SURE to happen lol.

Saki! That's what I'm talking about. I don't really get the scoring of the game but usually in canon, Saki doesn't go for bigger hands, usuall 2000/4000, right? So I'm stoked to see those 5 digit points ;)
