Buffy's a Slayer for goodness sakes! She can knock down brick walls pretty easily and has a heck of an attitude so

a). She would not really hurt her hand if she hit Wolverine and

b). She would never let him boss her around.

I really hope you're just using artistic license because the Slayer seems to be a lot weaker then she actually is in the series. I hope you don't get upset 'cause otherwise it's a good story.
