Interesting take... I too wondered about how close they had gotten!

Cute story :) I've sadly only seen the movie once so far...but I tottaly get this scene. I noticed that inching closer thing too in the film, and it made me very happy! lol

I absolutely loved this! I could hear Benedict Cumberbatch reciting his lines in my head (he's got such a gorgeous voice!) mixed with your story in my head with reading, it was great!

I must admit that my fangirl was screaming inside in when I watched the movie with my friend too. It is true that Uhura did kiss Spock. But I feel that the emotions between Spock and Jim run way deeper than the emotions between Uhura and Spock. Those are the emotions and feelings that one can only get from fighting together and knowing that they can unconditionally trust each other since the other will never betray you. Personally, I would ignore Uhura completely (not that she is not hot). Forever Jim x Spock!

I love this. It's nice to have an actual character tidbit instead of assuming that people instantly know who you're talking about. You described Spock and Bones, which is fantastic.
Definitely one of my favorite Kirk/Spock shorts. Good job!
