Excellent story! Thoroughly enjoyed this.

I read this all in one sitting - the first chapter grabbed me and pulled me in and the whole story just kept me there.

You've really done a great job with this, showing us the Tracy brothers as they are growing up and already seeing the dynamics we see with them as adults - especially the very close bond between Virgil and Scott that sometimes almost makes them act as one unit.

John's hacking (and I always had a belief that he was doing a lot more in TB5 than he ever let on... and TaG seems to confirm that he has very superior hacking skill), as well has his communication skills and Virgil's sneaky skills (and now I can't help but want a Virgil & Lady P & Parker story where we can see much more of him being sneaky) are shown up brilliantly, as well as their horror at the thought of a stepmother.

All in all, a terrific read!

They do make a great team though. I loved how they kept teaming up to help each other.

Whew, that dreadful woman is not going to be part of the Tracy's lives. I really didn't like her. Thank goodness Jeff wasn't falling for her icky attempts at charming him.

Oh, those devious boys not telling Alan that the stuff Brains developed hurts. *grinning evilly* It couldn't happen to a more deserving annoyance.

Sorry I'm late. Was away. Back now and Happily grinning at the ending of this story. So many happy endings! Jeff got his genius, Jennifer got her hooks in another money bags, Roger may have found his match if it is true that opposites attract, and Brains has found a family and a job he can happily devote himself to. Scott is happily and independently a part of colligate life. And the boys back home are figuring out a new dynamic. Be Careful Johnny! Keeping tabs on the family is one thing. Erasing parking tickets is an out and out crime! Remember what they say about absolute power? Still, it's interesting to see the "cogs in the wheel" coming into being. Everyone learning how to deal with every one else. Alan's paper cut fiasco was a hoot! Where's the LOVE boys? This is a lovely story to add to your library. I'll be on the look out for what's next! Til then, Carry On!

I don't even know where to start with how much I love this! Not just the story as a whole, but this chapter - there are so many moments that I adore. I love how Scott came in all furious, and then had to furiously backtrack a bit when he got caught out with his speeding ticket. And how impressed both John and Virg with each other at getting Scott off their case.

And then there is Brains' introduction to the rest of the family and Grandma's horror about his eating habits! Definitely taken under her wing then, can't imagine it took much persuasion to get him to move to the island after that. And Mrs Hanlon and Roger - with Virgil's absolute horror at the idea of those two together. So typical of someone his age.

Oooh, what could Jeff and Brains be planning... I wonder...

That last bit just finished it off perfectly! Considering I think that was the first bit that I read of it, it really all tied in together. John isn't Scott, and never will be, but he has his ways of managing them all the same. And he and Virg really do make a scarily good team. Oh boys...if only you knew?

Should I find it alarming that it ends with John having a "slow, wicked grin"... Poor world!

This chapter really had me laughing. Good ending.

Oh, this was priceless! Jeff "breaking Jennifer's heart". The terrible Two going back to normal after a bout of responsibility. Alan getting a bit of comeuppance for his whining. And the terrific twosome of John and Virgil remain!

I love the possible happy ending for Roger Sparkes-he needs a good woman who can see around his nefarious son.

I've really enjoyed this story all the way through! Having my two faves in a starring role,and I've just had to howl at Alan being a big baby over a paper cut! And Scott getting a speeding ticket for a car he's just taken possession of,priceless!

Thank goodness that Jeff had more brains than to get involved with that vile woman. She was pretty horrid. I'm glad he believed his boys and the while thing seems to have brought them all closer:)))) I wonder if Virg will get through to Scott to apologize? I really love this introduction to Brains relationship with the Tracy's. this is where he belongs avd Brains can see this now. Great chapter. Hey Bee, nice reading something else from you again. It's an interesting way of looking at how Brains joined the Tracey family, and I love that you're exploring the Virgil/John relationship.

Grandma will soon sort them two boys out. I say more like good luck them hee hee.

Another fabulous chapter and loved all the explanations. Especially Virgil blurting out about marrying Jennifer.

Glad they managed to sort things out for Mr Sparkes and also that Leon didn't get away with the designs. Can't wait to read the last part to this.
