This seems very interesting, particularly because it's so straight forward!

I know it's been a while since it's been updated, but well...

Hey there, I thought this fic had a great beginning and would love to see some more of it. Although you clearly have some other stories as well, is there any chance you'd consider writing more?

A serious fic yet humorous at the same time.

Yay! Yoda believes him! And so does Mace! I love it! And while it may be insane, Mace, I notice that you only hesitated a second before believing it. Ha! I love it! Did I say that already? Ah, well, who cares, it's true. Can't wait for the next chapter!

No, don't worry, I can rant as well. Anyway, great beginning, I wonder why the Force wanted Yoda and Obi-Wan to bond, and what choice it made? Ah, well, we'll find out. Can't wait. :-)

Things seem to be going a little too smoothly. There will be some sort of contention, sooner or later.

I think that the Jedi should be flexible, but not that they should bend over backwards! :-P
And about Anakin and the exceptions-you're absolutely right. He can be an arrogant prat, at that. :-P (Yes, I borrowed Merlin's word.)

Awesome start and I hope you haven't abandoned what is shaping up to be an awesome story. I think you have Yoda's character down your not just focusing on his Grand Master of the Order/serious side but his humorous side (his comment to Obi-Wan about he'll know what his prior engagements/duties were meant to be when people start complaining to him about him not doing them, nearly had me stitches).

Some interesting choices ahead for these 3 Anakin is certainly a tough one as mentioned they should follow their original instincts about him being dangerous and not trained but then it's also very dangerous just to leave him in case the Sith find him anyway (best option I guess would be to train him but don't let him know about that chosen one stuff, which may not even be true any more from the summary, perhaps keep him away from Qui-Gon as well, Mace could be a good choice to train Anakin [even though Anakin probably wouldn't like it but then again he bitched a lot about Obi-Wan's training], he's firm would definitely teach Anakin discipline, plus he invented a fighting style that refocuses the Dark side and uses it for good or something similar, plus he has personal experience struggling with the Dark Side himself [which is why I think he created Vaapad to use and focus the Dark Side so it wouldn't consume him]which no doubt could prove useful when training Anakin).

Anyway I hope you'll continue what you've started here.

Interesting... When are you going to continue? WHEN WHEN WHEN!? And I think Obi-Wan will have a lot of trouble adjusting. ;-P

About your rants, Chapter I: I completely agree. Anakin had too much of a swelled head anyway. ;-P And I completely understand why the Jedi had all the rules they did. And besides, it started as more a religious order than anything else X-P

I love the story, it's well written, realstic and you got the characters really well! I look forward to read more of it in the (hopefully near) future . Have a Happy New Year :)
