Ayame is an extremely interesting character. I'm sure if he was real I would love to get to know him. I know that a lot of authors like to pair him with either Shigure or Hatori, and I see the possiblity, but I myself can't see him with anyone other than Miine. I mean, *SPOILER WARNING (if you haven't read it already)* in volume 8, when he was talking with Yuki, Ayame specifically said, "If someone like me can have someone who is there for me [there's a picture of Miine here] then surely a good kid like you isn't as alone as you think you are." And before that, there was a beautiful flashback scene of Aya leaning on Miine's shoulder and her stroking his hair. It touched me so deeply that AyaMiine becomes of my favorite couples ever! Even more than KyouTohru.

I'm very happy that I successfully managed to find a fic about this pair. I think the twist of the father disowning Miine is rather abrupt and rushed, but I really do love the rest. This couple is just too cute and pretty. I guess there might be a possibility of Ayame being paired up with either Shigure or Hatori in the future of the series (I only know so far as volume 8 _; ), in case somebody already knows the ending, but I still hold on to my idea of AyaMiine. I hope I can see more fics of this couple in the future. A wonderful job and keep it up!

a walk in the rain would have been a better title. hm...as for dear old dad getting to disown mine-chan on such grounds seemed somewhat hurried and a bit lacking in intensity with the way you portrayed it since you portrayed her here as a beloved child. your writer's block seem to be obvious here.

This is really good tho! And yeah, I agree, people write a lot i mean A LOT about Kyo, Tohru and Yuki, but tho I prefer Kyo and Tohru (_;)And yeah I was quite curious about Miine's past and all and I suddenly became interested in her as well. I often wondered about Ayame and Miine's relationship, which seems to be a close friendship and often wondered what happened if they were MORE than just friends? o_O
