Felix chapter 1 . 7/4/2019 Hi, uh, I'm not sure exactly where to start. I discovered this story a long time ago, I don't know exactly when, but it was years ago, I think you were still updating when I first discovered it. And since then, I don't know how many times I've come back and read it. This story may very well be my favorite fanfiction ever. I don't even know why, I'm not entirely sure why I keep coming back to this story but I do and it always makes me happy, without fail. But the familial love and all these ups and downs and unconditional love it just. I'm bad with reviews I'm bad with emotions but I guess this story feels like coming home which is halfway bullshit because my home was sorta shitty but maybe this story helped me cope with it and was a sorta wish fulfillment thing idk but I just. Love it so much. I'm sorry I can't like. Give you specific reasons for why I loved it so much and still love it so much. I'm. Gonna read it again I think I need that rn. Idk if you'll see this review because it's been years since you've done anything on this site but I don't care. I hope you're still writing, if not posting it here or anywhere. |
sakuzi-chan chapter 19 . 10/8/2016 What can I say, I did enjoy the angst. The Doctor as their Father mmm |
WriterGreenReads chapter 40 . 2/13/2016 Don't get me wrong, this is practically perfect and I absolutely love it... BUT WHAT ABOUT JOHN? |
ScreamingToTheStars chapter 40 . 12/18/2015 Oh. My. Fucking. God. That was fabulous. It was funny and realistic (or as realistic as Doctor Who can ever be) and heart breaking and tear jerking and it broke and mended my heart thousands of times. You seamlessly blended the scenes and words of the story making a perfect adventure that had me biting my lip because it's one in the morning and my parents cannot hear me laughing. I loved the parallels and references, especially in your final chapter, the reference to the last time some one called Sherlock daft. I am in awe of your story and I thank you for giving me the gift of one of the most beautiful fanfictions that I have ever read. Thank you. |
LavenderMYSTery chapter 24 . 8/12/2015 I am now very curious as to how that lullaby sounds. It must have been lovely. Wonderful storytelling by the way. It is rare to find a fanfiction that can keep a reader going even through the 'peaceful' chapters. Wish I could have started the story from the very first day you published it. |
Doctoress chapter 40 . 5/3/2015 I will either hug you or kill you, not sure which. Depends on how much the sequels make me cry. Amazing story, full of feels, and except for Sherlock's full name (revealed in Season 3) this is now my 100% canon universe. Don't bother trying to change my mind it's too late. |
Whyhow chapter 23 . 2/26/2015 This is one of the funniest chapters yet, and I'm especially curious about what exactly a "sonic laser" does. |
silent song of shadows chapter 40 . 1/6/2015 May I say that I love this story? You've done an excellent job in writing it and I can't help reading it repeatedly. Shadow |
The Trickster chapter 40 . 10/11/2014 Thanks. You were brilliant |
nutchi.k chapter 40 . 8/2/2014 I would just like to say... You. Are. Brilliant. This story kept me hooked from beginning to end. I don't know if it's the never-ending fluffiness or those touching moments or the character development or the way you portray them or a combination of it all. Probably a combination of it all. Just a little thing that keeps bugging me. It's really small and doesn't happen often (I'm just nitpicking) but some of the words such as 'wary' and 'weary' are used incorrectly- i.e. it's swapped. Mycroft warily glances, not wearily glaces. Unless he's tired. But wary makes more sense when he's surveying a stranger. Again, it does not happen often, and it's a long fic, mistakes happen especially if it's not even incorrectly spelled and makes perfect sense when not in context. Maybe get a beta? Or anyone who's willing to proof-read, really. I think it'll help you out loads. Anyway, I decided to draw some fanart for you. Just a small scribble of The Doctor, Sherlock, and Mycroft in this big ball of huggles. I'm probably going to draw some other scenes too. My instagram/ deviantart/ tumblr are all nutchi_k, to make things easier. To end this long-arsed review before I bore you to death and Just to mention it again, I really love your writing style and this fanfiction. Really, it's awesome. Keep up the amazing work :) |
Squibble the WhovianBreadstick chapter 40 . 7/14/2014 "With all due respect, maam... Go to Hell." BWHAHAHAGAHAA I literally fell out of my chair, I was crying and everything. I laughed WAY to hard, not sure if I can laugh anymore... |
Squibble the WhovianBreadstick chapter 32 . 7/14/2014 The Doctor once mentioned (in an actual episode) that Santa was a Time Lord named Jeff. But he also mentioned being Santa Claus himself, and giving Rose a red bike. |
Nightstar Phoenix chapter 40 . 6/16/2014 You know when you find this popular crossover online, and you think to yourself, "Oh that's brilliant," and then you read a couple fics with the same basic formula but are a brilliant, and then you find one fic, ONE, that stands out tall and proud, and you just think to yourself, "yes, this is it," and it becomes a sort of canon, and you're completely fine with it because you loved it so much? Yeah this is it for me. This, to me, is WHOLOCK, and though it's only a fic itself and all the others are brilliant too, this will always be my favorite. There were some weak points... Oh who am I kidding, even the weak points were great. I take a little pride in having caught the Peter Pan inspiration in the prologue chapters, as well as the Lion King names. The line "Let them eat cake" was a little hauntingly familiar, but it's the Doctor, so of course it is. I'm sad to say I know none of the songs- yeah, even the Beatles songs, I'm sorry- but I will be looking them up. Kudos for coming up with creative new planets and adventures, that must have been hard- as clichéd as some of them were, it was still the Doctor and the Holmes brothers, and it shone. The characterization and development was particularly strong. Sherlock was flawless. The Doctor was too- though I must say I haven't gotten to Eleven yet so this is just based off my knowledge of Nine and Ten and second-hand info from a geek friend. Jack was perfect. River; oh my gosh River! I have been so dreading getting to River because I ship Rose/Doctor so much, but wow, if this is as accurate as with the others, I am going to love River! Mycroft, though, was my favorite. As an eldest sibling myself I've always appreciated Mycroft, and I love fics that go deep into his head because I get it. From the exasperated embarrassment on the behalf of his oblivious little brother to protecting him no matter what, I get it (tho it's a sister for me, but that's irrelevant). I love, love, LOVE what you did with him in this fic. I've always had a soft spot for Kid!lock/ Holmes brother fics, and I'd never deny a whirl in the TARDIS, and this combined them. Applause for this fantastic fic and it's brilliant author! |
Nightstar Phoenix chapter 4 . 6/14/2014 Holy crap. Sherlock is perfect, Mycroft is perfect, the Doctor is perfect, your writing is perfect, the plot line is perfect, Wholock is perfect, bow ties are cool... Did I miss anything? Oh yeah: HEADCANON FREAKING ACCEPTED. Geronimo! |
SentimentalBoy18 chapter 31 . 4/15/2014 Sooooooooooooo cute! |
