This is really well thought out! _ I love it!

I like how you've given our main characters solid foundations for growth and plausible plots that gives them reasons to grow. Another thing that you really have going for your fanfic is that its not rushing the story or ignoring the bigger picture. Too many fanfics rush through themselves trying to slap the story or, in many cases, the pairing together; and using almost cliche factors to do it. Many of these fanfics have great ideas, don't get me wrong, but they are missing some crucial forethought.

One of the things I, as a reader, have come to greatly dislike is the lack of forethought being put into the story. Stories need more than just a *pair-Serenity-with-someone-else*, the main pairing needs REASONS for why this has happened: WHY they are meeting, WHAT trials/goals they are facing in order for them to bond together as a couple, HOW will these trails affect them. They need a bigger picture.

Your fanfic is fulfilling these requirements nicely and tying them into the main plot of the story. While that does mean waiting a long time for the romance itself to happen, the richness of the storyline more than makes up for the wait. It's what makes readers hang on to the edge of our seats wondering "what's going to happen next?".

And that, above all others, is what distinguishes diamonds from the coals.

That chapter was the best so far! It's AMAZING! I love how Hotaru was spared from being brainwashed and how in fact you gave an excellent explanation about the story being AU, since Setsuna mentions in several occasions that Destiny is not set in stone.

As I said in my previous reviews, I think you have an amazing writing style and despite the length of the chapter, it never fails to grab the attention of your reader and make her/him want more.

I also like the pairings you chose. I don't remember ever reading about a HotaruxMalik pairing, true, but SerenaxAtem and MinaxBakura, are some of my most favorite xover pairings! :D :D

I loved how easy it was for Serenity to convince the guards to train her... And about time I'd say. From what I've seen, Serena was taught nothing but politics and etiquete, meaning that in case of danger, she would have to rely solely on her senshi and how fast she could run...

I also loved the action scene when the youma attack and I heavily wish for those counsilmen to get a good taste of how good it feels to have the Silence Glaive in your throat.
