I am just part way through your story. I agree with the long review written by a previous guest. Miriam is so good for Severus. That they are close in age and were friends at school makes it so much more believable. I too hate Hermione and Severus pairings it makes my skin crawl. I can't wait to see what happens next.

What does Miriam look like? I know she is thin, has dark curly hair, a heart shaped face, and full lips. And that she has similarities to the Magic Circle witch, but I’m trying to picture her more exactly. Did you base her off of someone famous?

This is my favorite story in this fandom! I don’t say that lightly. I read a ridiculous amount of fanfiction. I find the character of Severus Snape fascinating. I have read many stories where he is with Hermione. Some are well written, but I don’t think he should be with anyone that he has ever had authority over. And I don’t think Lily ever loved him like that, so those stories don’t work for me. I have made my way through reading and reviewing all of your stories in the past couple days, and I saved this one for last because it is the longest and I have the most to say about it.
Miriam is a perfect girlfriend for him! I love the idea that they were friends in school. I’m glad in your world that he wasn’t alone, having only future death eaters for friends (though none of them would be sincere friends of course). The slow burn in this story is delicious! I love them both noticing each other as being attractive, but not knowing how to act. I love that Miriam is a successful business witch. This makes her so much more on equal footing with him than a student could be. I like how you slowly escalated their affection and intimacy. I like that they both show their vulnerabilities and insecurities about the other liking them. The whole Lupin/pity conversation was so well done. And I don’t know why, but I love that he likes her hair down. She is so feminine in her appearance, clothes, hair, etc. I guess most witches in this world are, but her especially. She likes nice things and can afford to have them. As much as Severus teases about her shoes, I think he loves her look and everything about it. That’s in public though. In private he prefers her with no makeup and wild hair. Very nice touch.
Your love scenes are quite beautiful! That goes for this story and your others. You are very detailed and sexy, but respectful and lovely with your descriptions. I really appreciate that they are all different too. Many writers will almost cut and paste love scenes from one story to the next. Yours are so original. And like I said in another review, I love how they are so proper and formal in public but so scorchingly hot in private. And I like that their activities are not confined to the bedroom.
Maybe my favorite part of Severus and Miriam is their witty banter back and forth. She is exactly what he needs. It is lovely how they are able to comfort one another as well. That he allows her to scratch his head to help him fall asleep after a nightmare. He has never had that in his life.
The breakup was heartbreaking for me! I’m so glad it was because he loved her so much that he didn’t want her to get hurt instead of one of them cheating on the other or something. I’m glad she had Lupin and Minerva to turn to.
The extra characters were woven in nicely. The whole Mr. Poole story was excellent. I also really liked how she interacts with Narcissa. I liked that in your Garden Party story too. Narcissa could have had such a different life if she had been born into a different family. I think she needs more Miriam in her life. Will and his family are fabulous too. It is nice that she has some people she can depend on. And all of the interaction with the boys and Severus make me think he’d be a great father!
Then the memory sharing! Oh for them to be so vulnerable with each other! I just loved it! Same thing with the Patronus changes! This was brilliant! Then the slow burn again to rekindle the romance. I’m so glad you did it that way. The attack and trial was hard to read. It just further showed his devotion though.
I can’t say enough good things about this story! It is so well written. It flows so nicely. It’s sexy and complicated and awesome! Thank you for writing it! Please write 100 more stories about Severus and Miriam!
On a side note, I know this story is not recent, but I was very sorry to read about your mom passing. I hope that writing was able to give you some comfort during that difficult time.
Would you think me too forward if I made requests? I’m a sucker for stories where one of them needs to comfort the other. Would you write more of those? Or how about one of them giving the other a back rub? Or another bath together, or shower together? Are they going to somehow have a kid? Please write more stories! And don’t hold back on making them steamy ;)

So... this is horrible, but I took French in high school and could only make out a couple words and initially translated the first French sentence as "Listen. Being married is just a plus my little idiot." And I know now it means little doe, and I probably botched every other part of that sentence as well, but it made for a damn hilarious read lol!

A huffy Severus is a true joy. A TRUE JOY! Their denial of this fairly obvious slide is so cute! What was Sev dreaming of hmm? Premonition? Foreshadowing? As Belt from The Croods says, 'dun dun DUUUN!'

It was great! You're so good at the little things though, (or maybe there's something wrong with me?) I always seem to be hung up on one small seemingly insignificant line that just undoes me. "showed the laugh lines around his eyes"... okay... listen...those laugh lines deserves such love. I'm not tearing up again I'm just saying, ya know... laugh lines *sniffles*

I mean listen you shouldn't have ever had to ask if your chapters are enjoyable. At this point it's just a given that it will be right? The tension is beyond admirable. And I mean, can we talk about how I didn't hyperventilate at Severus laughing in pure joy? Laughing. Not chuckling, or snickering... laughing. All is now right with the world!

Man this double talk is absolutely delicious! Also... not going to lie I teared up (again) at the end there because... okay... he just discovered how wonderful it is to HUG someone and bury your nose in their hair. Like... we take small stuff like for granted and just... he so deserves these basic simple things he's been denied!

Two times I swooned in this chapter: the role play "'you're lucky I don't deduct house points...' he said lowly." Okay? I cannot. Like just, yes to all the role play (even better if it's in public and everyone else thinks it's a normal appropriate convo and it's so very not like I love this exact situation!); and also the "are you going to tell me your secrets Severus" Okay I swooned FOR Severus like damn! Who says that! What is he supposed to do with that. I'm surprised he could comeback with something so intense cause I'm over here like 'shit did she just say that, am I still breathing? what is happening?!' ugh! and then the ear whispering which, listen, could be in every chapter I will never complain it is the best! Oh but the self-imposed punishment must cease my dear Sev! *sigh* I'm so happy right now it's unreal

Covert watching is one of my most favorite things ever. Especially when said watcher is caught lol! I love the dialogue! I love that she can read his non-verbals so well. It is choooooooooice!
