Before I could read your new story, I just had to come and read the old - purely for contextual purposes, of course; it's not that I just couldn't hold myself back from an excuse to read your writing. And, once again, you totally blew me away. I know I've read this fic before and absolutely loved it then as well, but this story has so much to it that I feel like I could read it again right now and still find more to appreciate. It is insane how happy I get when I see your username in my inbox, and I can't wait to go read the other stories that are waiting on me. Keep writing! Damn. Can I just say how much I love the way you write? And your character choices! They are genius! Can I just get a collection of your stories in binding and keep it on my shelf forever?

I absolutely enjoyed this story. Her progression from thinking of herself so efficient in verbal communication to becoming an almost 'bumbling fool' around Darcy, especially to the end, helps her come to the realization that non-verbal communication can be equally or even more effective. But isn't this what she majored in - communication; she sure has learned a lot. A

I love this! It's just so Lizzie to think about words so much, and this fits so well with episode 98.

I loved it because it brought back the feelings of watching Ep. 98 for the first time (something the video cannot actually achieve any more I re-watched it too many times).

What I loved the best was her mother's response to the debate contest and his father's pride in her. I also really liked how Darcy's rare but to-the-point comments drive her crazy and she's not able to figure him out. This is very much in parallel with the book. And Lizzie swept off her feet by the perfectness of the letter - I totally buy it.

What was this style experiment about?

What a wonderful story, and so beautifully written too. You're certainly gifted with words. :) And I do love your idea about what Darcy's letter was and what it meant to Lizzie; very clever! I guess your story resonates with me so well because one of the main reasons why I love Dizzie so much is that they are so evenly matched intellectually, and you wrote it perfectly. And that last twist - I know it is not really a twist, but I hope you know what I mean - when words, important, vital as they are to Lizzie, fail her... loved it. Oh, and there is also this little deail of Lizzie having such a special relationship with her father because of their shared love of words - loved that too.

There are so many beautiful lines in this story, but these stood out to me:
'silence descended between them, thick and heavy and oppressive with all that had been said and all that hadn't'
'She kissed him because part of her had wanted to kiss this man since she'd read his breathtaking letter. (...). She kissed him because she knew the kiss would say the things that she didn't yet know how to say. And when he kissed her back, she heard his own unspoken words loud and clear.' *HEART*
