How touching, the bit with Osamu's death was so well done, congrats! Quality story, I shall have to see where the next bit is, if you have done a story which continues this plot :D

They make it back to the digital world, yay! I guess logically it had to happen but I'm still pleased for them that it was rather speedy, not many years like in the series.

Good work incorporating Ken into the adventures so seamlessly. You have entwinned him into the story naturally, without making him dominate (as could be an issue when rewriting a character into a pre-existing storyline) yet still keeping his presence strong and his impact felt.

Poor Ken! I like how you showed the lead up to him joining the digidestined, it was good. And you did very well with showing the insecurities he is battling with thanks to Osamu. Tragic but effective in showing why Ken is the way he is.

I really, really liked this. I always wondered why Ken had a crest and why he wasn't actually part of the original chosen and if there was any particular reason why he wasn't there. I liked the alternate ending with Hikari vanishing, leading me to wonder what role she'd end up playing in 02 and I like that Ken and Takeru became best friends, because I always thought they'd get along so well if they'd been given the screen time develop a better friendship in the actual 02.

I really like where you're taking this- especially the fact that you aren't having Ken pull away from the others after his brother died. And that he and Takeru are best friends. (I think that's awesome!)

So, Hikari is kidnaped and ken didn't reach perfect level, I assume that Hikari's kidnaping is going to be the main plot or a very important part of it, this is intriguing.
