I, of course, will always love everything you write. I thought for a short moment that this might've been an exception but I kept reading and fell more in love with each new sentence. This is a very interesting take on Katniss & Peeta, as well as Hansel & Gretel. You made it work flawlessly in my opinion. It's not difficult to imagine Raisa as a true witch and your take on Katniss and her father living out in the woods was perfect and really fit the story. Awesome!

This story, like most of yours, is so beautiful I love it. i dont know, you have this particular type of writing that is really difficult to find, I mean, translating your stories would be quite dissapointing, even if someone try to do it, it wouldnt be the same.

Peeta's mom character was fitting, very detailed backstory of her.

I loved your new gifts of a pillowcase and burn cream, so sweet and in character! Little Peeta with his plans of babies and being a housewife and his picnic was adorable. He is a smart boy, for sure. I like how Katniss enjoys being needed but the brother thing, poor Peeta, he has an uphill battle for that. The witch part was equally creepy and well written. Very cool twist and well thought out. I am glad the baker got peace at the end. Poor Peeta, he is way too good to be the witch's son. Cool idea to have the last bit in Jack's perspective. I liked the bit about him gentling her and her toughing up him.

Oh my gosh this is so freak'n cute! I just...agh...no words. It hit me with a fuzzy cloud of warm feels.

This is probably the fifth time I've read this story and the ending still brings tears to my eyes :')

What a lovely fairy-tale retelling. The part where Katniss ate crumbs from the bird feeder and Peeta gave her a whole pan of rabbit buns made me cry a little, as well as Jack's reaction to it, but the part about Raisa Mellark was quite evil and she is such a witch so I don't regret her death at all!

This is the third time I come back and read this fic, and I love it more and more each time. I'm a sucker for fairy tales adaptations, and you are a genius when it comes to them. I love your stories! Kudos!

What a lovely twist on so many aspects of the original stories. Thank goodness evil Mrs. Mellark destroyed herself quickly and Peeta and Katniss were able to grow up with Jack as father figure. Thank goodness that Jack figured out that keeping them apart was futile. Lovely story. Thank you for sharing.

You know, it's funny, but rereading this, I find myself less sympathetic to Janek. She should not have killed the guy, but he was mostly a terrible husband. Unloving. Sure, he married her out of duty, but she would almost have been better off if he'd not. She should not have thrown herself on a grieving man but he did take what was offered. I cannot help but wonder how things would have been different if she'd been a single mom like she'd expected.
