Don't change one word. Not one y"all, you hear? This is an astonishing, stunning, and masterful adventure of a story! No one should be telling you anything but greatness. Its so unreasonable to suggest that you change ANYTHING about this grand story at this point. Regardless, it was great at chapter 1. I want to read about the Amazons and the conqueror meeting Gabrielle and all the rest very soon. PLEASE.

Ok so my goal here is to give a proper review of both the conqueror and the regular X&G story because it is obvious that a lot of hard work went into these stories and I feel that is what they deserve. However, that does mean that I'll be stating what I didn't like as well as what I did and I hope the author takes what I say as constructive criticism for future writing endeavors. I promise I'm not trying to be mean. So I felt that these twin stories had a lot of cons and a lot of pros. I'll start with the cons. I have passed this story over several times because for some reason I didn't realize that Ri could have been a nickname for Gabrielle and had just assumed it was some other character which didn't interest me but once I made the connection, it was that and the many many positive reviews that pushed me to give it a chance. However, as soon as I began, I noticed something that almost caused me to give up on reading it. Throughout both stories a lot of formal sounding vocabulary is used. I'm a fairly smart person, I have a college degree, and I read all the time but even I have never heard of half the words used nor ever even seen the majority of them used in any other writing. I don't mind learning new words but I didn't want to feel like I had to look up every other one. Some were somewhat difficult to pronounce and I found myself skimming passed some passages. I don't want to feel like I'm reading a textbook when I'm reading for pleasure. I decided to push on because again, those positive reviews. I noticed that the vocabulary didn't bother me as much in the conqueror story because it seemed to fit more while it seemed out of place and out of character for the classic X&G story. I also didn't like the terms extremities, appendages, oral orifice, optics, and orbs when referring to body parts especially in love scenes. They just made it sound so clinical and less romantic. It's difficult to understand the use of osculation and pussy within the same sentence. For me these words disrupted the flow of reading. I wish there was more Conqueror in the story. The use of y'alls is also a little weird. It's used by practically every character at some point and gives the impression of a southern accent or a western story. Overall, they both could use some editing. There are a lot of have, doesn't, and was that should be haves, had, don't, and is.

PROS:
I absolutely love the intertwining story concept. Although I didn't find it necessary to switch stories every chapter until maybe the last 10-15 chapters I did so anyway and I liked the way it kept me in suspense for what would happen next. I love the idea of G & Ri changing places and wonder how it'll get resolved. Although I wish there was more of her, I love your version of the Conqueror. It's something different and refreshing. I'm glad you incorporated familiar faces in the Conqueror's world. I love seeing characters we all know and love being used. At times it was difficult to read the X&G story because what they were going through just pulled at my heart. I applaud you for making me feel what they were feeling. I am really interested in Ri's character. I love that her background is shrouded in mystery. Is she really older than she thinks? Where is she from? Why does Draco hate her so much? What is it that made the Conqueror fall for her? I know it seems like I have a lot of cons but I honestly did enjoy these stories. It takes a good well written story to keep me interested and I truly hope you continue because I am now a fan and want answers to all my questions. I apologize for the long review but I can tell a lot of hard work went into writing these stories and thought they deserved to be thoroughly reviewed. Thank you and keep writing!

I was thrilled to see that and blushed my head off hehe I can't wait for the next bit on the edge of my seat

WOW! I 've lost track of this story, and have had been trying to catch up for quite awhile now. Oh, I,ve been so excited to finally reach the part where the conqueror will see Gabriel, only to be caught in suspense! BRAVO for your extraordinary, outstanding writing! Please, please write more soon!
I'm reading the other great part, too, but I couldn't resist moving farther ahead on this one.

When is Chapter 43 of The Conqueror & Ri A Twist of Destiny?

That was close for Meleager, I wonder what Gabrielle will do when she see's the Conqueror?

Probably said this before I don't trust Lyceus and I trust Meleager even less. Is the Prince is finally seeing the consequences to his behaviour, too late ?
Xena's trust in the Chancellor is blinding her to his machinations as he's trying to separate her from others.

Well there is a lot of miss information being bandied about here. Lyceus will say anything to get of the hook and he is not to be believed. Obviously Gabrielle is playing a part and so she's saying what needs to be said and Gagius not sure what he's on. Is he blind to the truth or is there something else going on?

Wow this is certainly getting complicated and Gabrielle has got to think on her feet here in this interesting turn of events. We know she must lessen her reactions but knowing of her arrest to come it won't be easy.

Now it is finally that people are showing themselves in their true and traitorous course. Ri had better be aware of who her friends really are and who can be counted on. It is time the conqueror returns or she will lose her love as well as her kingdom.

Still Xena doesn't know that Ri did not go to Athens and is in the castle and is unwell. I wonder when she is going to be told or find out? And I wonder what she will do and say when she lays eyes on Gabrielle? Oh and I wonder what Gabrielle is going to say when she meets the Conqueror? Or will Meleager, Lyceus and Akemi all try and keep the Conqueror away from Ri/Gabrielle?
