shit bruh chapter 1 . 6/20/2015 wow this was a great fic. Not like the usual with like dramatic stuff but like a literal slice of life. It was nice and interesting. |
IncredibleGuest chapter 1 . 3/7/2014 So, the first time I read this, I head to stop at almost every paragraph because I couldn't handle it. That is, I think, exactly the point you wanted to make with this story: People pretend that racism just doesn't exist, or, at least, is taboo to write about in a normal tone, and not as something horrible. I mean, this was the first time I even heard about camps for Japanes. People just tend to ignore everything they did wrong when it comes to racism. Thank you for writing this. You're an incredible writer, and I hope to see much more stories from you in the future. |
Harm Marie chapter 1 . 8/5/2013 Liked this. |
S chapter 1 . 6/8/2013 I love how you worded it. Yes, they skipped over a lot of issues in that time. Would you do a Asgardian vs Earth issues one? Since I think that like the myths Loki would most likely be in a world of pain for that and the fact he is cowardly/ feminine to use magic instead of brute force. Then the fact that the geneva convention and equal rights of Earth might clash. Somewhat along the same lines, yes? Anyways love your work! |
fierynightangel chapter 1 . 5/19/2013 very cool. very well done. |
chris.h.olds chapter 1 . 5/14/2013 This is excellent! You're correct about what Steve said when explaining why he used the term "negro" as the polite term to use for a black person and why he complimented Rhodey on his rank. It does stink that the US had internment camps. (We realized what idiocy that was way too late!) Luckily, the continued fight for racial and gender equality goes on and is slowly improving things, but there's still a very long way to go in America and elsewhere. Thank you flashwitch for writing and posting Cracked Mirror and Funhouse Mirror and helping people to remember these important things in this day and age. We need to continue to fight to change this pervasive ill in society. |
Dragon-Bowl chapter 1 . 5/13/2013 I like it. i think its the first story I've read about these issues. other stories may have slightly touch on them but nothing significant. U wrote it so well too :) |
Hope06 chapter 1 . 5/13/2013 Awesome job with this very well handled I can see Rhodey handling this well due to it really just being genuinely mis informed |
Nahara101 chapter 1 . 5/12/2013 I really love this! It's an important issue, but I had yet to see it mentioned in a fan fiction, so it's wonderful to see you touch on it here. And it did it just right too. |
Crysania Fay chapter 1 . 5/12/2013 very nicely written. That was something that I had notice when I watched the movie, but I didn't see anything in the fan fictions. I like the way that you touched upon the subject. Very well spoken. |
lunarweather chapter 1 . 5/12/2013 Thank you for posting this. So many people don't know about the internment camps that were in America. In the original Karate Kid we learn that Mr Miyagi's wife and child died during child birth in an internment camp. So sad that those places existed. |
