This is so different from any Dramione I have ever read before. And I really enjoyed it!
The entire tone of this story came across as poignant and beautiful.
There were a couple of lines in particular that I found really powerful. "Mined, forged and cooled" was exceptionally clever. And the other one that really stood out was "crushing the ladybug in her excitement to catch it and keep it." Even now, I am wondering what he would have said to her in that moment, if she had only given him the chance. And I think that's why this story is such a triumph. It is not something to be read and then quickly forgotten about. Elements such as these will be playing on my mind for quite for while to come.
Another aspect of this story that I really enjoyed was Hermione's realization that by changing the way she reacts to people, she can influence the way people respond to her. This is really powerful stuff!
I am so pleased I found this absolute gem of a story. It is so beautiful - well done!

I love everything about this.

I've been perusing a lot of Dramione fics lately and there is just something about the way you write Draco, that is so real and true (I'm not sure how to describe it). It's like you really "get" him and he is fully himself (not changed or sexed up in order to suit the story) ... All the little details you add throughout just make so much sense and really round out his character, but yet feel like they were always there in the first place. Like how his pure-blood heritage impacts the way he treats girls, or how he's a bit different when encountered alone without friends or cronies around, or how he's a very thoughtful and live-in-the-moment adult (given everything he went through). Obviously, none of these things are addressed or even hinted at in the books, but they feel like they belong as canon.

It's been a while since you've posted anything new, so I really hope you find the inspiration (and the time!) to create more!

I found this story in the favorites list of another author and it is a gem. Truly a wonderful piece of writing.

Wow I’ve been rendered speechless

Reread this story years later and am still somewhat amazed at the prose now that I did not have to focus on the plot. Omg, you are a beautiful writer and took such an interesting and believable take on Dramione. There was NO. EXTRA. FAT. Lean and pure Dramione pepperred with Hermione's usual overindulgence in thoughts. This is wonderful.
