I also love how you added Stoffel in there, I can't help but imagine that Stoffel hated Dan Hiri, and in turn hated Conrad- but that Conrad was always protected so long as his father was around because Dan Hiri was king and Stoffel was regent. Once Dan Hiri left however I'm sure Stoffel got back at Dan Hiri by being hateful towards his nephew.

Not to mention the rest of the court probably disapproved of Dan Hiri and gave the family a hard time- once Dan Hiri left Conrad kinda had to face all of that alone, with wolfram alienating him, his mother too busy with work and grieving, and his older brother growing distant because he feared growing too close to Conrad and seeing him die early because he's half-human.
