Good overall. I prefer more case stories and more exchanges of dialog in my reading, but your writing is good enough to carry me through these long narrative blocks in your tales.

Good action, and good compromise. Their hotel room probably has a devil's trap - which won't effect them. More of them going to the territory of the hunters.

Cool tie-in. Good characterization of Dean assessing the situation with Reid being too calm.

I like how you don't have either side with "omniscient" insight.

I like the whole "family" thing, but I think it's sometimes taken a little too far (I just mean when they're referred to constantly as sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, etc).
Then again, that's just my opinion. I'm not too big on the whole emotional thing, but write your story how you will.
