Not gonna lie soon as i read she could never be angry at her sister and they were such besties that i lost interest. Your character doesnt have negative emotions when it comes to bella? Right... Thats unrealistic to the extreme and so boring.

You’ve written this years ago and it’s probably behind you now, but I’ll leave a comment anyway. So far the story is interesting with the deafness aspect but rather simple. However, your first chapter was confusing. You never really specified the extent of her deafness. You spent the first few paragraphs pretty much describing that she has a complete loss of hearing, but as it goes on, she is suddenly able to hear other people talking. Unless I missed it, only until later do you finally mention that she can lip read. The writing is not bad. Given that she is deaf, there should be some changes in your writing. For example, in chapter 1, you had a sentence “until I hear his (Billy’s) name”, which conflicts with the whole deafness idea. You tend to waste paragraphs going into great detail of every single little thing she does, such as ‘putting mascara on’ or ‘walking over to her dresser after reopening her calculus books to do homework’. Unless there’s something really important about her actions, then it shouldn’t need to be mentioned. Spelling and grammar is good and I’m glad to see that you’ve separated paragraphs for dialogue and made use of the bold and italics for signed language and messages. A lot of writers forget or don’t bother, which can be confusing for the reader. I’ll keep reading on.

Which allows for my next point, this story is a little pretentious at times and all together childishly written.

I mean the plot is a great one but everything else is subpar.

Of course I ran into the same problem when attempting to write my own story and so I hope the author comes back to rewrite this and fix the overall aggravating aspects of this story.

I kinda wish he lived a little longer just to see how interesting it would get. Just because I'm that kind of person. If ya know what I'm sayin? :3 Just kidding. But seriously though, it would have been interesting to see him live a little longer.
