GlassMazeGazer chapter 13 . 7/27 So Sookie’s now a multi-millionaire with tons more money due to come in every month and a company she now owns, but she’s just gonna go back to waiting tables at Merlotte’s like nothing has changed? If this Sookie is supposed to be OOC, surely giving up waiting on drunks for crap pay & crap tips could be a very viable & welcome change for the character! So bizarre. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 12 . 7/27 Why did Sookie invite Bill to go out with them? She seemed to loathe him at the start of the story, but now he’s just one of the gang? Even if they were on comfortable, friendly terms having him along for a social outing while she was out with Eric seems like a bizarre choice, as does Eric being so easy & willing to socialize with him. Having Bill along just to have someone to sit next to Amelia seems insufficient as a reason. I’m not getting any less confused by this story & there’s only one chapter left. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 10 . 7/27 Bill is being oddly cooperative & non-obsessive about Sookie. Normally, instead of being so attentive to Amelia (after Sookie’s request), he would have been hovering around Sookie trying to criticize &/or impede Eric’s attentions to her. So are we looking at a suddenly OOC Bill as well? He was still pretty much obsessed & trying to press himself back into Sookie’s life at the start of the story. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 7 . 7/27 Okay, being inhabited by the ghost of Hadley would explain Sookie being temporarily fluent in French since Hadley would likely have learned it for Sophie Anne, but it doesn’t explain the fluency in Swedish. I can’t think why Hadley, who was young as a vampire, would have bothered to learn Swedish before she died. So what gives with Sookie suddenly being able to understand & speak it. Also, I still don’t get why the attorney Cataliades continues to be Sookie’s chauffeur & tour guide. At most, he would have his niece do that. He surely has more important matters to attend to. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 5 . 7/27 I’m confused again, or maybe just more confused. When did Sookie become fluent in Swedish? As recently as chapter 2 she had to ask Eric what he had said when he used Swedish. I assume that Sookie initiating a threesome with a perfect stranger & Eric is relative to the ‘magic’ the walked through when entering the apartment. It’s strange that Eric didn’t make any comment about the magic because, as a vampire, he would surely have sensed it. The fact that he didn’t question & just went along with the threesome is also bizarre. It’s obviously not something he himself would balk at in general, but with Sookie that’s altogether different. Knowing that it’s A) very out of character for Sookie, B) that Sookie was drunk on her ass & not fit to make that kind of decision, & C) that there was some kind of magic in place, I would expect that he would *at minimum* act to protect Sookie by questioning this behavior. Sookie might just as well have been roofied between the alcohol & the magic. As a bar owner, Eric would be aware of things like that & while he likely wouldn’t care much about it relative to others, he would care about Sookie making choices under the influence that he knows she wouldn’t normally make, especially since Sookies are much more likely to blame Erics than themselves when things go awry. I get that this Sookie is intended to be OOC & less uptight, but it’s quite out of character for an Eric to be willing to share his Sookie like this so I guess he will also be OOC in this fic. Also, while I’m generally un-phased by ‘non-standard’ sexual choices characters make, I just can’t help but be grossed out that it’s with Amelia. Amelia? Ack! Another odd thing is QSA’s “smirk” when talking about Amelia’s spells. What’s behind a smirk in the situation? |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 4 . 7/27 I’m confused as to why Cataliades, the attorney, is acting like s chauffeur here. In SVM he was in the (back of) the car for the trip to New Orleans, but more as legal council, guide/advisor, & protector for Sookie than as a mere chauffeur. Also, while I understand Sookie likely having some anxiety from several sources at the start of this, the heavy drinking is bizarre as well. One or two to take the edge off is one thing, but getting stupid drunk before meeting a vampire Queen is dumb & very unladylike (AKA the opposite of the way she was raised). For safety & protocol, why wouldn’t Eric & Cataliades have discouraged & even prevented her from getting that bad? |
Duckbutt chapter 10 . 4/14 I like your solution for the pelts as well! |
Duckbutt chapter 4 . 4/14 Drunk Skokie is fun. But I guess Bill didn't think so! |
Duckbutt chapter 2 . 4/14 Loved the beginning and the timing of when Eric remembers his time with Sookie. Love the alt timeline. |
tanseynz chapter 5 . 5/19/2016 A pity. This was developing well but Amelia as a threesome? Sookie didn't even know her name until she was glamoured, so sharing Eric sexually with her the moment they met? Can't see it in any timeline. I think I'll pass on this story. |
tanseynz chapter 2 . 5/19/2016 Well that was quick! Well done Eric. Now, if Sookie can cut the guilt trips in half and get back some feistiness, they'll have a chance. |
tanseynz chapter 1 . 5/19/2016 Definitely a twist. What surprises me always is her unwillingness to deal with Pelt's death. C'mon, Eric would have been dust if Sookie hadn't shot her. How is that any different from staking Lorena, and Sookie didn't feel much guilt over that. |
Chipndalegal chapter 4 . 8/20/2015 I hope drinking all that alcohol won't blow up in Sookie's face if she has to meet the Queen this first night in town. She should have full brain control when that happens. But I did enjoy her showing Bill how happy she is with Eric. |
Chipndalegal chapter 3 . 8/20/2015 I am so glad that they seem to be settling into a very happy and exciting courtship. I hope the Queen's summons and Bill's prior request to accompany her to New Orleans are not linked in some way to try to steal Sookie away for Sophie. |
Chipndalegal chapter 2 . 8/20/2015 Well this is progressing nicely. Can it really be so easy for them to fall back into a loving relationship? I like that your Sookie is making sense and accepting that Eric could care for her. |
