   Mega Ghost chapter 20 . 6/22 Hey, I just finished reading "Pretending To Be Nice," and I have to say I loved it. I'm an original and big Life With Derek fan, and although i was never a Daesy shipper, cause I was a kid at the time, I can see now how people could see that happening and could see it happening myself. I think you did a really good job of capturing the characters and making the whole journey of them discovering their feelings flow naturally. If you were so inclined to, I would say the only thing you might want to change/update is to add a little more to the scene where George and Nora discover it. Open minded or not, there would be a lot more shock and awe there if two people found that their kids who lived under the same roof were making out and dating. Also, even if to no one else, the fact that they're step-siblings and are related in the eyes of the law would contribute to some shouting on the part of George and Nora. On the whole though, I liked it. It made me laugh a lot, I fell in love with the idea of the two of them being together and I really felt for the two of them at various times. I could see this happening on the actual show if it hadn't been a kid's sitcom. |
