It actually... kind of is fitting...

(Laughs) I was happily rooting for Itachi to win the whole time.
I loved Itachi’s relationship with Kisame; the friendship, trust and loyalty between them. I lie that Kisame’s loyalty is unwavering and that Itachi truly cares about him.
Honestly I think that Itachi is one of those terrifying people who could take over the world if they wanted to, but that who is highly unlikely to want to in the first place. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) this Itachi has a reason to take control of the world and nothing is going to stop him.
This really shows you the reason you want Itachi on your side and I really like that.

Itachi would have made a good Hokage. A lot of what Madara did was for Izuma because he loves his brother and with Itachi as his little brother instead things certainly would have turned out differently. And this Itachi is likely happier than Canon Itachi too. I like how you’ve shown both Madara's and Itachi’s personalities and the decisions they make in this.

Konan and Itachi make an interesting pair, as entertaining as Kisame and Itachi - but perhaps with more subtleties in their conversation xD

i almost feel like rooting for Itachi's Moon Eye Plan in this chapter... XD the parallels between Itachi and Kisame, and Haku and Zabuza are nicely done. But of course it ended better here, heh

This was equally lovely. Your Kushina is lively, blunt, sharp and caring. Only she would counsel Itachi against joining ANBU, and i think he needed the affirmation of his decision. A joy to read.

When i saw this scenario i got legitimately worried, but i think it ended as well as it could have. Minato's Team 7 is together, and Itachi would probably never have to kill again. I'm glad Kakashi made it up with him :) and i definitely can see the two of them butting heads as teenagers!

I'm sorry, but every chapter of this fic was amazing, each portraying Itachi in a different light, each portraying Itachi slightly different.

You've managed to bring new levels of amazing to an already amazing character.

I'm not sure how you did it, but I know I won't stop thinking about this fic for a while. Personally, my favorite chapter was actually the despot one. I just keep thinking of Haku and Zabuza, and guh, I can't even describe it.

Doing the bare minimal Itachi, don't think I have read Itachi like this before.
But this way, Kakashi won't have to make friends with the memorial Stone everyday.

Itachi as the younger brother, interesting.
Coughing his lungs out and still following the idealistic dream.
Tobirama should be happy he won't have to deal with the paperwork.
