keerthugemini05 chapter 24 . 2/25 I love this whole series and this fic is one of my all time favourites in this fandom. I've read it several times. The character arcs you've built are incredible. Your OCs are three dimensional and the entire plot is awesome. You've captured the voices of the characters so well. I know it's been a really long time since this story was completed but I would love to read more stories in this universe. Your characterization of Jim is something special (it's part of my headcanon now) and I'd be really excited to see this version of him as Captain. Thank you for the wonderful read. I'll keep returning to it for sure 3 |
pkjtan chapter 24 . 5/24/2019 Great story! |
pkjtan chapter 12 . 5/20/2019 I remember reading this several years ago, and am enjoying rereading it very much. Your world-building skills are amazing! |
spiritedghost chapter 15 . 5/6/2018 Ah, the classic case of, "When it rains, it pours." Brilliant job. |
spiritedghost chapter 9 . 4/26/2018 Best chapter ever... |
spiritedghost chapter 6 . 4/26/2018 I keep asking myself why this story is so familiar. So I will just ask. Was this based on a TOD book? I do love this story. |
Guest chapter 9 . 10/2/2017 As I was saying before I accidentally posted my incomplete review, I truly enjoy how youve really captured Jim and McCoy. I love it. Jim's development as a character and his battle to stay within the lines is VERY intriguing. Excellent job, both with the plot ans the characters. |
Guest chapter 9 . 10/2/2017 I'm truly enjoying your story. I adore the plot, it really has me hooked. I like your writing style, your unexpected humor, and I especially love how you've captured Him |
Beam-Me-Up-Hiccup chapter 24 . 5/4/2017 I love your academy series. I couldn't stop reading any of them and I just want to thank you for writing some of the best Star Trek stories I've read so far. |
Phantasmal Abduction chapter 24 . 1/15/2017 Your Academy Series is amazing. Some of the best stories I've read, fanfiction or otherwise. Yep. I love this and the other stories in the arc. 'Nuff said. |
atymer chapter 24 . 12/21/2016 Suspenseful and nerve wracking like the others stories, but with more characterization as these men evolve into seasoned explorers and, regrettably, warriors. The black is full of danger, death and disease, but Kirk and McCoy stand firm against all comers. Soon they will be joined by the ones who will be refined at their side. I really enjoyed the new OC characters introduced and the canon ones revisited in this new timeline. I regretted the death of Finney and experienced a little heartbreak that Dr. Brex might still be on the Farragut on that ominous day to come. I liked him a lot. Kirk's fellow cadets were more three dimensional during their brief appearances, leaving images of lives in action, touched and changed by their own losses and experiences. Kudos to the author. I was thoroughly absorbed to the end. |
Twin chapter 24 . 11/6/2016 Thank you for this fic. I read all the other ones too, pretty much spent my entire holiday doing it. I just got caught by it. I love how you struck a balance between old school and the new fanbase. I love your style of writing and how you capture emotions. I love how you think ahead in not only the plot, but also characters and how this all connects together. Thank you for several fantastic fics. It was a genuine pleasure to read them ) |
