Oh this was fun. I think having something develop
between the two of them away from everyone else makes sense. I like how she is trying to figure why he would leave and it slowly dawns on her that she did the same thing. Maybe what she really wants is to understand why she did it herself. They felt very real here, especially because there wasn't an instant intense attraction but something that grew out of a mutual enjoyment of the other's company. Like they didn't know they were in a romance fic. Now I'm imagining him hanging around until she finishes school, then they decide they are ready to go back to England, together. Oh yes, quite fun.

I don't generally review stories, (I know I should...), but this one took my breath away. Your characterization of Severus was believable and he and Hermione's relationship progression was compelling and drew me in 'til the last sentence. Usually I'm disappointed when a story ends with a kiss and no aftermath, not even a reaction, but here it fit perfectly. Keep up the good work!

Wow, that was a good read! It's hard to describe so forgive me if I don't make any sense but I like how the characters seem to be so much self-aware. Nothing is overly complicated. I'm so bad at this, sorry I gave up. TLDR: I loved your story!
